I let out a sigh as I looked at Elliott. He had been pestering me to join his group for the first activity, which was to search for possible medicinal plants scattered around the mountain. 


There were supposed to be four members in each group. Of course, I wanted to be with Lois and Georgia. But when they heard Elliott's inviting me, they immediately pulled Dylan and Janine aside. I was left not knowing what to say to Elliott. 


"Elliott!" a girl called out to him, probably one of his classmates. "Come on, I found another one. Our group is complete now." 


I noticed Elliott's jaw tighten suddenly, followed by a quiet sigh. 


"Lorrie, stop meddling! Elliott's trying to make a move, you're being a nuisance!" Elliott's best friend, Raven, shouted. 


I felt my cheeks flush. So I averted my gaze. My eyes met with Sir Cace, who was walking towards me and Elliott. 


"Do you already have a group, Dalha?" he asked as he approached us.
