"Thank you, Ma'am," I said with a smile to the elderly woman as she paid for her purchases. 


I let out a sigh and rubbed my neck as I sat at a table on the side. My workbook and some notebooks were laid out there. I was almost done with my assignments, but I couldn't finish them because customers kept coming in. 


Soon enough, I got busy with my work again. Since there weren't many customers at the moment, I was okay to spend my time answering assignments. 


I was in the middle of reading a question in my workbook when I suddenly paused. Elliott's words came to mind once again. It was already widely known that he had a crush on me. But I didn't expect him to admit it like that. His words continued to bother me.
