"Will your mind not change, Dalha?" Lois asked sadly when I told her about my decision to leave my job. It has been a month since Cace brought me to his house—or, I mean, our house. We stayed there for a week and then we went to some places before returning to Manila. We discussed many things, especially matters between us.
Yesterday, as soon as we arrived home, I immediately drafted my resignation letter. I know it was sudden, but I had no choice. Cace is leaving, and he plans to take me to the US. I could refuse, but he's insisting. He said I don't need to work anymore because I'm already wealthy. He said he'll be the one working because he is the poor one. What a crazy guy!
"I'm really sorry, Lois," I said to her. I told her about the arrangements between Cace and me. Even Georgia knows about it now. They are both happy for me. "Don't worry, I'll always visit you here." I reassured Lois. She briefly smiled sweetly before hugging me tightly.
