"Thank you, Mommy, Dada," Mira said with a big smile while hugging a large teddy bear. It was just one of the toys that Cace bought for her. It seemed like she wanted to buy almost everything if I didn't intervene. Even Mira's clothes were all expensive. I felt embarrassed about it. I should be the one paying for everything, but Cace beat me to it. He insisted, so I couldn't do anything but stand aside and watch them shop together.
"You're always welcome, sweetie," Cace said with a smile to Mira.
"Should I take her home now, Sir?" Karen asked when Cace called her to come and pick up Mira.
Cace nodded gently before turning back to Mira. "Karen will take you home, okay? Mommy Dal and I still have somewhere to go."
"Okay!" Mira replied before kissing Cace on the cheek and then me.
After a few moments, Mira left with Karen. I was left alone with Cace. I didn't understand why Mira needed to leave now. He said we can take Mira with us, but it seemed like his plan had changed.
