Jacques scanned the room, taking in the reinforced walls. "These walls... they're lined with radiation shielding. Radio signals can't penetrate."
"Fucking perfect." Lou hurled the radio across the room. "So what's the plan? Because we can't stay trapped in here forever."
WHAM!
The security door buckled inward, claws punching through the metal like it was aluminum foil.
"I'm fucking getting sick of that wolf trying to destroy everything here."
"You and me both," Eugene said.
Jacques backed away from the door, his gaze sweeping the room for anything useful. Through the maze of fallen equipment and shattered displays, his boot caught on something solid under an overturned metal work table. He kicked aside the tangle of power cables and broken monitors, revealing a matt-black cylinder half-buried under the debris.
