When Fahui and his group arrived at the bustling square, they only saw three lines of people testing their spiritual roots.
They rushed into the tent, only to find two clueless young men standing inside.
Upon seeing them, the two men hurriedly said, "Honored monks, please save us!"
"Where are those demon women?" Fahui asked.
"Aren't they right here?"
The two men looked around but couldn't find any trace of Liu Mei, her companions, or Lin Fengmian.
"Damn it! They've escaped!"
Faming angrily grabbed the two men by their collars and asked, "Do you know where they went?"
"Lin Fengmian is closely connected with them. He must know where they are!" The two men were so terrified they practically fell over.
Fahui questioned the one pretending to be Lin Fengmian and learned that he had already disguised himself and left with the mayor's wife.
"Senior Brother, what should we do?" Fazhi asked.
"Go find Fafang. He has the scent-tracking bird. We'll pursue them!" Fahui ordered firmly.
"Understood!" Fazhi replied and rushed off.
"You two, come with us!" Faming roughly dragged the two young men along.
They followed the mayor's wife's carriage, arriving at a small manor on the southern side of the city.
At that moment, the carriage was parked beside Linjiang Courtyard. Two female guards stood nearby, whispering to each other, wondering why the lady and the immortal master were taking so long.
Faming, overjoyed, charged forward, pushing aside the two female guards. He lifted the curtain of the carriage only to find the mayor's wife asleep.
"We've been duped!" Fahui's face darkened.
Looking at the peacefully sleeping mayor's wife and the two pretty female guards, a hint of lust flickered in Faming's eyes.
"Let's go! They're just ordinary people. Don't waste time." Fahui pulled him away.
Meanwhile, Lin Fengmian, having trekked through mountains and rivers, took a chance to use his wind blade for a brief flight when he reached a flat stretch of road.
Finally exhausted, he landed in a forest, gasping for air.
He cursed, "Those demon women! If I run into you again, I'll play with you before killing you, and then I'll do it again!"
"Well, Brother Fengmian, you're in such a foul mood. Need your sister to help cool you down?" Liu Mei's teasing voice gave Lin Fengmian a jolt, and he nearly stiffened—not in the way one might think, but his fists clenched.
Seeing Liu Mei emerge slowly from behind the trees, he exclaimed, "Why are you here?"
Liu Mei covered her mouth and laughed, "Well, since I'm here, do you still plan to toy with me before killing me, and then do it again?"
She even patted her ample chest playfully. "I'm so scared!"
Lin Fengmian's face turned as black as the bottom of a pot, realizing the truth. "You used me as bait?"
"Smart boy!" Liu Mei laughed, "I wouldn't abandon you. After all, you're my newly 'acquired' lover!"
Lin Fengmian chuckled bitterly, "You scared me half to death. What's the situation now?"
"They haven't caught up yet. You might have lost them."
Liu Mei looked frustrated. She wasn't willing to give up on the many disciples she'd recently recruited. She had hoped to use Lin Fengmian as bait to assess the enemy's strength.
Who would've guessed they'd overestimate the enemy's intelligence? They had actually lost Lin Fengmian.
"So, what now?" Lin Fengmian asked hesitantly.
"Let's go. Although it's a pity, it's wise to avoid unnecessary danger," Liu Mei said, pulling Lin Fengmian and flying off toward a meeting point with the others.
Soon, they regrouped with the rest. Out of the original group of ten, only Lin Fengmian, the lone male, remained with several demon women, leaving him feeling a bit scared.
That night, they found a spot by a stream to sit down. Not daring to light a fire, they sat around, chatting idly.
"Now that Lin is the only one left, how should we split him tonight?" Mo Ruyu giggled.
"How about the five of us take turns and drain him dry?" Wang Yanran eyed Lin Fengmian and licked her lips.
"Sure! It's been a while since we shared anyone," Mo Ruyu agreed, raising her hand.
Lin Fengmian quickly begged for mercy, "Please, senior sisters, spare me! I'm weak and can't handle it. Look for someone else."
"Tch, why is Liu Mei allowed, but we're not?" Mo Ruyu huffed.
"Sister, you'll kill me!" Lin Fengmian cried.
"Don't worry. With the five of us, we'll make sure you feel divine. It's a once-in-a-lifetime chance," Mo Ruyu teased, licking her lips with a grin.
Lin Fengmian cursed inwardly, feeling like he was doomed and might just be crossing over into the next life.
"Alright, stop scaring him. If he gets too frightened, I won't have any fun," Liu Mei said, resting casually against Lin Fengmian.
He suddenly felt much safer, but despite the warmth and softness in his arms, he sat as if on pins and needles, not daring to move.
Xia Yunxi pouted at Lin Fengmian, looking a bit unhappy.
This made Lin Fengmian feel guilty, but then he thought, "What's wrong with a man having multiple wives?"
If worse comes to worst, one wife and one concubine would be fine. A bit few, but it could work.
"Sigh, what a shame. There were some strong, handsome men among them. Just thinking about them makes me feel all hot and bothered," Mo Ruyu said, living up to her title as a demon woman, always speaking shocking words.
"Only the living can feel hot and bothered. Dead, you'd just be all dried up. Don't overthink it," Liu Mei quipped, being more pragmatic.
"True..." Mo Ruyu nodded.
Suddenly, Liu Mei stood up from Lin Fengmian's embrace, her expression serious. "Something's wrong! It's too quiet around here."
The others tensed up, realizing that the usual sounds of insects and birds had vanished, and the area was eerily silent.
Chen Qingyan drew her sword with a sharp clang and said coldly, "We're surrounded!"
"Amitabha, it took us some time to find you, dear ladies. You should come with us," Fahui's voice echoed through the forest as he stepped out, his face solemn.
Liu Mei immediately glanced at Lin Fengmian, but he looked just as confused, making it clear he hadn't betrayed them.
"How did you find us?" she demanded.
Fahui remained silent, but another unfamiliar monk stepped forward, laughing, "You demon women from the Hehuan Sect give off such a strong scent. We could smell you from hundreds of meters away."
Faming laughed heartily, "Good thing Brother Fafang had his scent-tracking bird, or these saucy women might have really slipped away."
Only then did the group notice the pink bird perched on Fafang's shoulder, staring at them intently.
Liu Mei and the others realized what had happened—it was their fragrance that had given them away.
"You're not from Yangquan Temple! Who exactly are you?" Liu Mei asked coldly.
Having been exposed, Faming dropped the act and burst out laughing, "Does it matter who we are? What matters is that we're the men who can give you ladies some real pleasure."
"You lot are feeling hot and bothered, aren't you? Come and find us, and we'll take you to Nirvana!"
