Room 303
The dimly lit room hummed with anticipation as six students sat around a large, round table. Their faces were a mixture of curiosity and calculation, each trying to gauge the others' strengths and weaknesses. The walls of Room 303 were bare, but the air felt heavy with the weight of the challenge that lay ahead.
"Before we start, we should go around getting to know each other," said Zalika, her voice calm yet commanding.
She was the first to speak up, breaking the silence that had settled over the group.
"I'm Zalika Williams, the current Head Chancellor of the Head of Council at T.B.C Private High. It's an honor working with all of you, and I hope we can all be friends after this," she added, her smile polite but distant.
Rurki couldn't help but roll his eyes internally. That's a lie, and you know it. Why lie when you know two of us will be eliminated? he thought to himself.
The tension in the room was palpable, but none of the others seemed to react.
"I will go next Taylah Deputy Head Chancellor of the Head of Council from T.B.C. Private High. Let's keep it simple." said Taylah
Is she planning on getting me eliminated but Taylah wasn't liking the fact that i would join the team and i know she hates me and wanna get rid of my ass Rurki thinks to himself
The next person, Mark Kingsley, cleared his throat before speaking up. "I'm Mark Kingsley, Head of Discipline for the Head of Council at T.B.C. Private High. A chubby boy with black hair and eyes."
Rurki's mind worked quickly. Those three are safe. I just need to play along and keep my cool so I can make it through too.
Oh, I'm Rebecca Newman," said Rebecca, her voice smooth, almost rehearsed. "Head Girl of Real Success High."
"And I'm from Real Success High too," said Hunner, his tone sharp. "Name's Hunner. Head Boy."
Rurki zoned out for a moment, the weight of the situation sinking in. This group was diverse, each with their own agenda, and the stakes were high. It was clear that alliances were going to form quickly—and so would betrayals.
"Rurki, your turn," said Zalika, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"Right," he muttered, mentally shaking himself. He leaned forward, trying to put on a confident face. "I'm Rurki. Head Boy of Siberiano High. Yeah, I know, the lowest school in the country. But I make it work."
Zalika's smile didn't falter, but her eyes seemed to linger on him a moment longer than necessary. "Good. Now that we're all introduced, let's get down to business."
She stood, her posture tall and authoritative. "Before we start, we need to choose a leader. I understand that we're all leaders in our own right, but if we're going to win this, we need someone to guide us, a captain. Someone who can strategize and keep us focused."
The room went silent for a moment. Everyone seemed to be considering the proposition.
Zalika Williams your one piece of brilliant girl your not only pretty but your smart you know your own school mates wont say no plus we are all new we dont really want to express ourselves to the enemy incase they use it against us and even if those other 2 planing to lead u would do a vote and because I don't know them but kinda know u u know u will get my vote Rurki thinks to himself
But then Taylah spoke up, her voice cutting through Rurki's thoughts. "Alright, I guess I'll be the leader then."
Rurki's eyes snapped open in disbelief. Wait, what was I reading wrong?
"Do you have a problem with that, Rurki?" Taylah asked, her gaze locking onto his.
Rurki blinked, then quickly replied, "Huh? No, of course not."
"Good," she said, her tone dismissive.
"Now, what's our plan?" said Rebecca
The plan is simple," said Taylah, leaning forward with a smirk. "We'll follow my lead, and we'll win. It's just Rock, Paper, Scissors. How hard can it be?"
Rurki's thoughts darkened. As I thought. None of them are paying attention to the rules. But why?
The others nodded along, each agreeing without hesitation.
"Alright," Taylah said. "That's settled. We'll meet again later to discuss further. The meeting is over."
As the group began to disperse, Zalika turned to leave, but Taylah stepped forward.
"I'll leave now," said Zalika, her voice soft yet firm.
Taylah hesitated for a moment. "Oh, no. I'll follow you."
Zalika raised an eyebrow. "It's fine. Even though it's early, it's not safe for a girl to be walking by herself at night."
Taylah scoffed. "Says the girl to the girl."
Zalika's eyes narrowed, but she didn't press the issue.
"Don't worry. I'm heading out now. I'll walk you to your building. I'm going to Room 708." Said Rurki.
"Oh wait thats my building" said Zalika
"Good shall we go" said Rurki
Taylah shot him a glare, her voice sharp. "Don't do anything stupid, or let anything happen to her. She's important."
Rurki smirked. "Aren't we all?"
The three of them walked in silence, the tension thick between them. The city outside the building seemed distant, the hum of traffic barely audible through the walls.
"Can I ask you something?" Rurki finally broke the silence.
Zalika glanced at him, her expression unreadable. "Yes, you can."
"What's a Head Chancellor?" Rurki asked, his voice casual but curious.
Zalika's lips quirked slightly, her gaze never leaving the path ahead. "So you don't know?"
No," he replied flatly, "if I did, I wouldn't be asking."
Zalika's smile widened slightly, but it was more knowing than kind. "Well, that's a secret. You'd have to do something for me if I tell you. But what I can say is that I lead the Head of Council body. It's similar to how you lead your Prefect body. Some might say I'm more important than the Head Prefects or even the Student Council Executive. But… you'll find out soon enough."
Rurki blinked, processing the information. I see. You're that important, even more important than me. That's interesting. Now I really want to know what this Head of Council is all about.
"So anymore questions Rurki?" said Zalika
Rurki hesitated for a moment. "Yes, the rules… It said two people would be eliminated from each group. The two losers. Do you remember that?"
Zalika's eyes flickered with something colder. "Yes, I do. We all do. But at the same time, we all need to work together as a team. If you haven't noticed that, Rurki, then you're not fit to become Sovereign Leader. You should drop out."
She walked ahead of him, her smile turning cold as she looked over her shoulder. "In fact, I'll be the one to eliminate you. You don't make sense."
A faint, ugly smile curled at the corners of her lips, and a light blue aura seemed to swirl around her, making her eyes seem even more intense.
Rurki's breath hitched. "What the hell did you just say to me?"
Zalika's voice was cold, like ice. "Did you not hear me? I only help those who can help themselves. If you don't see a way through this simple game, you should drop out. I'm offering you a hand… but it's also the hand that will eliminate you."
Rurki stood still, his mind racing. "I don't need your help," he replied, his voice low but firm.
Zalika's smile faded into a cold, knowing look. "Good. Then listen to Taylah's plan like the rest of us, and don't worry. If it was meant to be, it was meant to be."
With that, they reached the building, Zalika went up to her floor, and Rurki headed back down to the way they were comingfrom. He pulled out his phone as he walked away.
"Hello," he said when the line clicked open. "Change of plans. I won't be meeting you today. But tell me—what group are you in? Are you the leader?"
"Yes," came the reply, crackling through the line.
"Good. That's phase two of the plan," Rurki said, a smile creeping onto his face. "Now, time for phase three."
"Wait, I thought there were only two phases," the voice on the other end asked, confused.
Rurki didn't respond. He hung up the phone and walked toward his next destination.
A few minutes later, he was knocking on a door. When it opened, he was greeted by the familiar face of Brittany, the Deputy Sovereign Leader.
"Brittany right" said Rurki, he takes out his phone" I wanna buy something."
