Masked Intentions

The meeting soon began upon the second floor of Elisabeth's estate. It was held within a rather large well-lit room with a wooden round table right in the middle.

All around the table, seated with looks of anticipation, were the heads of the Families and Houses that came by, so of course, they were all women. 

None of their guards could have come to them, but they were stationed outside as a sign of trust to ensure that they were all on even footing. 

Of course, that was merely just a sign, and if any of them were competent, they would and already have prepared their defenses.

Elisabeth sat at the head of the roundtable at the far north as she was the hostess of the evening. The other three sides that represented the other cardinal directions were taken up by the three women who came by later, while the rest were filled with other such noble women who obviously did not have much power.

"Has everyone gathered?"
