The Capital of Nahar

The envoy continued to pass through the desert, barrelling through the sands as they kept using scouts that sent back messages from around them, making sure that any disturbances or possible ambush locations were noted and avoided.

Luckily, there did not seem to be any disturbances thus far; however, that just made many of those searchings feel extremely anxious as if they were walking into a trap.

Nobody said anything for a while. The only sounds were the galloping of horses and the sand shifting by their hooves and the wheels of the carriages. Everybody was simply thinking of what was to come next and what they were going to do once they were in the capital.

This continued for hours on end, with only the moon above accompanied by the stars as witnesses; however, they even began to fade as the light of the sun began to break through the horizon, dying the whole sky in its yellow warmth.
