I groaned as I reached the sixteeth lap before the fatigue became too much and I decided to go back to my real body.
However, unlike before, when the body would just drop, I'm now good enough to sit down and have the puppet body lay on the ground before I transported my consciousness.
"Gotta admit to Scathach, her training is actually paying off," I mumbled while crossing my arms.
The Queen of the Land of Shadows was currently gone. She didn't say where she was going and I didn't ask. I really had no reason to ask since I knew she would come back.
I can move more smoothly and I don't struggle as much. I also got a better handle on the arms and legs. It's still far from perfect or having it as a second-nature, but I'm getting there.
I'm kind of glad Yu can't see me like this. She'd never let me live this down.
"Speaking of, I should visit her when I have the time," I mumbled, thinking she's probably hiding in some cave while cursing at every human out there.
I laid back down and looked at the sky. You know, a Reality Marble looks like the mentality of its owner, so I guess it's a good thing that mine looks so peaceful.
Can you imagine having a Reality Marble with, let's say, blenders everywhere?
"Man... It really has been a long time," I mumbled as I thought back.
From my days with Gilgamesh, to staying with Gorgon sisters, to meeting Yggdrasil and Svend, to adopting Yang. I have... been through a lot.
And, honestly, I can't really imagine doing all that with a human body. Honestly, if the world is still as accepting of Mystics as it used to be and my Reality Marble wasn't a problem, I would never make one for myself.
Having a human body still feels... wrong. I don't hate it, I just feel like I shouldn't have it.
"Now that I think about it, I wonder how I got a reputation with the fairies in the first place," I mumbled.
I never really made any contact with the fairies except for Yu, and she's only a 'fairy' through a technicality. Then again, being Type Earth would definitely give me a reputation with them.
Maybe I should ask Yu about how fairies see me?
I put that thought aside for now and looked back at the puppet body. "I should really get this over with," I said sitting back up.
Transferring my consciousness over, I pulled myself up and grabbed the bags.
Third POV:
Scathach returned to Zack's Reality Marble to check on his progress a few days later. She had found him in the puppet body in what appeared to be his final lap.
"Come on... come on," Zack groaned in his puppet body. He had got better at speaking as well.
Once he finished the final lap, Zack's body dropped.
"There, I did it!" Zack said in his real body.
"Well done, you now have enough experience to walk without falling," Scathach praised, failing to hide the mockery in her voice.
"Hey, at least it's something," Zack defended.
"Right," the warrior queen shook her head slowly. "Anyhow, now that you know how to move, we will start with basic training. Pushups, setups, and running. People can know how to move their bodies but that doesn't mean they know how go use them."
You REALLY have nothing better to do here, do you?" Zack deadpanned at her. Despite the fact it was said as a question, it was very obvious that it was meant as a statement.
Scathach glared at the Elemental. Placing her hands on her waist, she ordered, "You can start with pushups. Now."
Zack just shrugged and transferred to his puppet body. There was still some fatigue from the one hundred laps around the trees, but it was manageable.
Getting into position, he was about to start doing pushups when Scathach's backside suddenly dropped on his back, sending him to the ground.
"Omf! What the hell?" Zack asked, looking over his shoulder.
Scathach, sitting on his back, crossed her arms. "I don't remember saying you'll be doing normal pushups. Get going. I want one hundred- no, on second thought, make that two hundred pushups. Get started."
"Fine," Zack grumbled, trying to push himself up. He knew she was just getting payback for his earlier comment. "Shouldn't ladies like you watch for their weight or something?"
"... I changed my mind. Make that three hundred pushups."
