Stamping her feet against the floor, Zara looked around the restaurant, leaving the rest of the staff in suspense, even Chase was not let out in this.

He never allowed his gaze to leave her even for once as he tried to guess correctly what she was up to.

"Aren't you going to say anything?" Maurice scowled.

"Of course, I was going to commend your new looks." She winked at him, causing a smile to appear on his lips.

Just when he was about to respond to her compliment, she waved her hand in his face, "Now you have to work on your clothes? It looks like what the slaves in history passed down to you."

"What?"

"You heard me." She affirmed with a smirk, rolling her eyes at him.

"You're rude, that's not a nice way of speaking to someone." Wembley muttered.

"Why do you look scary? Are you a part of the Mafia in Italy? Your accent screams it."

At once Chase exchanged glances with Wembley who took a step backward, digging his hand into his hair.

"I'm on the roof, please excuse me." He muttered only to disappear the next second.

Chase was unmoved with her words, he just wanted to hear her view after going through the records and everything that concerns FlavorQuest.

All through the night, he had seen her scrolling through her laptop as she made notes on her iPad and now he was waiting for her review.

"Zara." He called.

"Yes boss." She had a bright smile on her face when she turned in his direction.

"We're waiting for you."

"What about the Mafia guy, isn't he a part of us?"

Now on his feet, Chase pushed his hands into his pockets and then walked up to her. "Can we just wrap it up here? We're a team and making comments about the team members isn't right." He chided.

Turning towards Maurice, he gave him an apologetic look before returning his gaze to Zara who was stunned with his words. She wasn't expecting him to chide her in the open even if she was wrong.

"This conversation could be as well held in private." She muttered, blinking her eyes rapidly in a bid to drive back the tears that had welled up in them.

"No… we are family and we should do everything together. Nothing should be hidden from the other."

Raising her hands in mock surrender, she stepped backwards, "Fine, what about the Mafia guy? We need to talk as a family."

"I will go get him." Jasper offered and then scurried out.

Immediately Wembley returned, they all sat around a table, each and everyone staring at Zara who was sitting at the head of the table with her pen stuck up to her lips.

"We're listening." Chase said.

"Yeah… so last night, I discovered FlavorQuest has a lot of loopholes…" she paused, seeing the expression on their faces.

"It's not about the food or services, you guys are doing a great job but there should also be room for improvement."

"So, what are you talking about in essence?"

"We should close up for a week so we can make amends and then there will be a grand opening when we resume." No one said a word after this for a while since they were all reviewing her suggestion in their heads.

Slamming his fist against the table, Wembley got the attention of everyone, "Grand opening you say, do you know how much that cost? We have spent over ten million working on this restaurant and you want us to close up? Are you even certain you went through the financial records?"

"I did."

"Then you shouldn't be making such suggestions. We still have a long way to go and closing up for a week would be disastrous, don't you think boss?"

Pushing his hand through his hair like he always did whenever he was bothered, he began to tug on it, trying to come up with a response to give.

"Uhm… Zara asked me to trust her. She said she is going to help us build this restaurant to be the best in the state and also a major food company… Let's go with her suggestion."

His idea didn't sit well with Wembley but it did for the others since they felt they had no say in the matter.

"Are you even thinking? This is not a practical class, if anything happens, we will end up folding up and everything we have worked for will go into waste."

Since Jasper and Maurice were his only hopes left, he turned in their direction and with a pleading look on his face said, "Aren't you guys going to say anything?"

"Boss is right." Jasper was the first to speak.

"Yeah." Maurice nodded in agreement, further heightening Wembley's anger.

Unable to hold back any longer, he grasped the edge of the table and with gritted teeth said, "Stop it, stop it already. You have to say something."

"I stopped at Senior high so I have no idea on how all these works. Since her idea sits well with boss, we should go with it. The last time I checked, he always followed his heart and the result was always positive." Maurice said.

"Uhm… he is right. Let's trust our manager."

Grateful that no one else was in opposition to her suggestion, Zara's lips broke into a smile and with her hands clasped, she leaned forward, "I will make sure you guys keep trusting me."

"I really don't have any issue with you but you need to stop making fun of me. I will lose my temper one day." Maurice scowled.

"Oh, sorry brother, I wouldn't try hurting you again." she mused, reaching out for his hand which he immediately pulled away.

"I'm not your brother." He snapped, casting her an angry glare.

"Why? Boss said we are family so I have four brothers." She shrieked.

"Whatever."

Grinning, she got off the chair she was occupying and then walked around to where he sat. Leaning in, she wrapped her hands around his neck, "Are you rejecting me?"

"Let go this minute." He scowled.

"I won't, unless you accept me as your little sister. I was just acting like every little sister would do, huh?"

"Fine… fine… get off me already."

"Okay."

Suddenly, Wembley huffed, wrapping his hands across his chest. Thinking that he wanted to lash at her, Zara recoiled, "Why are you blushing?" He asked and at once everyone was staring at Maurice who was trying to shield his reddened cheeks.

"You guys are unbelievable." Chase chuckled amidst the laughter as he headed towards the fridge to get them some drinks.
