During the one-week duration, while they were trying to put things in order, Zara kept raising awareness on her social media page.

She was an Instagram influencer with over three million dedicated followers so the awareness went a long way to help.

Chase and Wembley focused their energy on repainting the restaurant in bright colors and replacing the bulbs and different decorations with more appealing colors.

A night before the reopening, Zara arrived at the restaurant but before she could walk in, her phone began to buzz and at once she pulled it out of her pocket.

"What does she want?" She mumbled, glaring at the screen which displayed Raven.

Pushing her phone back into her pocket, the call came through again, and then time around with a frown she yelled, "What?"

"I know you're busy but can you spare me five minutes?"

"Why?"

"We need to talk and it's urgent." She snapped and at once Zara swirled around, her gaze falling on the vehicle that was across the road.

"Yeah, come sit with me."

"Ugh!" She sighed aloud and still gripping her phone stormed towards the car. Yanking the door open with all her might, she slipped in and then banged it shut.

"What do you want?"

"Do you spite me that much?" Rolling her eyes to the back of her head, Zara turned on her phone.

"The stopwatch will soon go off now, start talking."

The Bernards had no idea about Chase restaurant until Raven stumbled on Zara's post that morning. As if that was not enough, some staff whom Chase was friends with wouldn't stop talking about the grand opening which they were going to be a part of the following day.

"Why are you doing this?"

"What are you talking about?"

"First you got married to him without his consent and now you're helping him build his restaurant. There is more to it, don't you think?" She mused. Zara didn't give a response to this, instead, she allowed her lips to part into a coy smile.

"Were you secretly in love with him?" Raven asked, turning in her direction with a raised brow.

"Yes, why?"

At first, Raven didn't know how to respond. She kept staring at her until her lips broke into a smile and then a bitter laughter that rang through the car.

"What's funny?"

"I love him first before you. When I have settled things on my end, I'm going to take him away from you."

It was Zara's turn to be stunned. She kept staring at her like it was their first meeting with a raised brow trying to believe what she had heard at the same time.

"Are you surprised?" Raven chuckled.

"Stop spewing rubbish. I loved him and that was why I decided to take him from you when you tossed him out."

"Chase doesn't love you, you forced him into marrying you."

"I'm going to make him love me. You just stay away from us and watch what I will make out of him." Her voice was firm and unwavering.

Before Raven could say anything else, she got out of the car and then ran into the restaurant, making her way toward the washroom.

Standing behind the mirror, she watched as tears rolled down her eyes in torrents.

When her family wouldn't stop treating Chase like a thrash, she began to pity him and that pity metamorphosed into feelings that she had kept to herself until now when Raven decided to confront her openly.

Swiping her phone off her purse, she pushed her hair behind her ear and then dialed Raven's contact.

"What happened to Lannister, did he dump you?" She started the conversation.

"What are you talking about?" Raven asked on the other end as embarrassment hit her in bolts. She wasn't expecting Zara to solve the puzzle so soon since she never told her about her secret relationship with him.

"You dumped Chase for him, don't think I will sit back and watch you take him away from me."

"Let's see then." She huffed and then hung up.

Wiping her face with the back of her palm, Zara grabbed her purse off the wash hand basin and then stepped out only to see Chase standing by the side of the door.

"Are you alright?" He asked, peering at her with an inquisitive look on his face. He had seen her rush in earlier and was wondering what the issue was.

"Uh… yeah." She nodded, flashing him a smile.

When he left her side immediately after her response, she felt her heart drop into her stomach as she stared at his back.

"Raven was right when she said he doesn't love me. I'm going to make him love me." She smirked.

Crossing her purse around her neck she wants to join the others who have been waiting for her.

"I stocked the kitchen with all the ingredients you had listed out. I ensured they are of the best quality." Jasper said, pushing the list towards her.

"I told you to meet with Coles Farm, they have the best…"

"He signed the contract to be our supplier just this morning." Wembley interrupted and she gave him a thumbs up.

"The drinks are all stocked up too, and I have changed my look," Maurice said, arranging his shirt.

"You don't look bad brother." She laughed.

"Why do I feel like you're mocking me?"

"Of course I'm not, I'm being sincere here." She laughed only to be scowling the next second.

"What's the issue now? You asked us to change the paintings and we did that. If you don't like it… we can commence work." Chase rapped.

He wanted to do everything right and seeing the expression on her face made him feel like he had failed in his assignment.

"It's not that." She groaned, blaming Raven internally for her interruption.

"Then what's it?"

"I wanted to make a video so I'd introduce everyone to my followers." She groaned, hitting her forehead against the table.

"It's not necessary." Wembley was the first to back out. He detested the camera and he did everything he could to avoid it.

"If I don't get your face on camera, I will sketch you and upload it online."

"Don't be silly." Before he could realize what was going on, she had taken a quick snap of his face.

"Handsome right?" She pushed her phone in Chase's direction.

"Uh… yeah." he laughed.

"Delete that this minute." He slammed his fist against the table, trying to snatch the phone from her grip but she held on.

"I will call the cops that you're trying to molest me." She said only to roll her eyes the next minute. "I'm sorry I didn't mean that." She muttered.

The silence in the room was getting thicker with each passing minute and so Chase decided to break it.

Patting her back, he said, "You did a good job, keep it up, okay."

"Yeah, thanks."

"Are you still mad at me?" She asked Wembley who was scrolling through his phone.

"Delete the picture." He scowled.

Instead of doing as he had said, she took a few more and then uploaded them to their group chat.

Immediately Wembley got the notification, she grabbed her purse and then scurried off with Wembley chasing after her.
