A suspicious figure in the office (Part – 1)

Leaning against the cool surface of the door, Ava exhaled shakily, her emotions a chaotic whirlwind. "Why is my heart thumping so loudly?" she wondered. "Am I falling for him all over again?"

Her cheeks burned, the heat refusing to subside as fragments of the previous night replayed in her mind. The memory of his touch, his voice, the way they had lost themselves in each other—it all lingered, sending an unbidden shiver through her body. The tingling warmth spread like wildfire. She rushed into the shower room and turned on the water, letting it cascade over her. She closed her eyes and exhaled deeply, hoping it would cool down the heat that had taken over her body and mind.
