Ava's lips curled into a small, almost triumphant smile. Her reaction only fueled Dylan's confusion.
"You are smiling," Dylan snapped, irritated. "Are you serious? That woman is stealing confidential information, and you are sitting here grinning like it's some kind of joke! What the hell is wrong with you?"
Her expression was calm despite the tension in the room. "Because I knew this was going to happen," she said with quiet confidence.
Dylan blinked, taken aback.
"I left that file there on purpose and didn't lock the drawer deliberately. I wanted to bait whoever was after the documents and catch them in the act. Now we have proof."
Her composed explanation left him speechless momentarily. "You're saying this was all planned?" He arched an eyebrow.
Ava nodded. "Exactly. The documents in that file are decoys. They are fake—completely useless. But now we know someone is trying to steal from us."
