Kaizoku and Sylphy were thrown into the massive hole. They screamed loudly as they fell through the void.
Minutes later, they crashed onto a flat stone surface that resembled a predetermined path.
The impact was so severe that both lost consciousness.
After some time, Kaizoku regained partial consciousness, his eyes barely open.
In his hazy state, he could only make out someone's shoes.
He saw modern black boots that appeared to belong to a man.
That person placed two bright green potions in front of Kaizoku's face.
Unable to keep his eyes open any longer, Kaizoku slipped back into unconsciousness.
After an unknown period, Kaizoku finally managed to open his eyes again, though still weak.
He attempted to reach for one of the green potions.
Fighting through the pain that filled his entire body, he forced his right hand to grasp the potion.
With great effort, he succeeded in grabbing the potion and quickly drank it.
Immediately after consuming the potion, Kaizoku's body seemed to heal completely, as if nothing had happened.
Realizing his pain had vanished, Kaizoku quickly sat up and grabbed the other potion for the still-unconscious Sylphy.
He swiftly turned Sylphy's body, carefully opened her mouth, and helped her drink the potion.
After consuming it, Sylphy opened her eyes to find Kaizoku's face above hers.
With a weak voice, she tried to speak. "K-Kai? What's happening?"
Kaizoku helped Sylphy stand carefully.
With worried expression, he attempted to answer her question. "I'm not sure what's going on either... We seem to have been pulled into the Underworld."
Hearing Kaizoku's answer, Sylphy could only surrender to their situation.
"Ah... I want to cry, but I'm too weak even for that."
"It's not time to give up. We need to find a way out of here," Kaizoku said while scanning their surroundings.
Sylphy responded angrily. "Escape!? The Underworld is known to be more painful than hell itself! No one has ever escaped the Underworld! This underground realm!"
Kaizoku stopped moving and replied seriously. "Then we'll be the first ones to get out of here."
He continued, looking at Sylphy with intense determination. "If we die, we die together. If we live, we live together."
Seeing Kaizoku's serious expression, Sylphy gave a small smile.
"Heh... I really am pathetic..."
"I still don't understand how we survived that fall, and since when could you make potions?" Sylphy returned to her usual self, with her sly smile.
Kaizoku could only answer in confusion. "I'm not sure. When I was half-conscious and barely opened my eyes, I saw someone place two potions in front of my face."
"When I fully regained consciousness, I forced my right hand to grab the potion and drink it."
He paused briefly, then continued. "The potion was incredibly effective at healing our wounds... Whoever made it must be highly skilled at crafting such fast-acting potions."
"Ah, forget it. I hope whoever gave us those potions is on our side. We need to get out of here, and I think we should start by heading there."
Kaizoku pointed toward a brightly glowing green door.
