"It seems we've seen enough of the second floor, let's continue to the next floor."
Lilith walked back to the spiral staircase.
Kaizoku, still fixated on the green flames, had to be forcibly pulled away by Sylphy. She tugged at his clothes, dragging him toward the spiral staircase.
"Please forgive him, he's a bit crazy, just bear with it." said Sylphy with annoyed face.
Once again, Sylphy endured embarrassment due to Kaizoku's burning curiosity.
Lilith and the others continued their journey up the stairs to the third floor.
A few minutes later, they finally reached the third floor, which appeared to be a long corridor with doors along its sides.
"Welcome to the third floor, where servants and attendants spend their time resting or engaging in activities outside their regular duties."
The three of them walked down the long corridor.
"What you see on either side are the servants' and attendants' quarters, simply put, these are our rooms for rest."
The corridor floor was covered with a green carpet featuring unique designs of animal skull patterns, human skulls, and other motifs.
The lighting still used lanterns with green flames inside, bathing the corridor in bright green light.
As Lilith walked with Kaizoku and Sylphy following, she explained how green was the iconic color for the castle.
"If you're wondering why almost everything in this castle is green, it's because green is Lord Gon's favorite color. The color also represents power and authority, which Lord Gon is quite obsessed with."
Hearing Lilith's words, Kaizoku and Sylphy exchanged confused glances, slightly doubting their decision to enter this castle.
Moreover, they were uncertain whether their host already knew Kaizoku's true identity. They still didn't know if the master of the house worked for the demon lord or not.
Nevertheless, they both tried their best to act as normal as possible to keep Kaizoku's identity deeply hidden.
"Well, it seems we've reached the end of the corridor. We can take the stairs ahead to the next floor."
There was another spiral staircase, identical to the previous one.
They climbed up to the next level, the fourth floor.
After a few minutes, they finally reached the fourth floor.
"Welcome to the fourth floor, our library where we read books and seek specific information. This room requires silence; please keep your voices down if you wish to spend time here."
The library was incredibly vast and spacious; it was impossible for Kaizoku and Sylphy to see its end from their current viewpoint.
"Our library is among the most complete collections, where almost all Spells can be studied here, along with special secrets that neither we nor you might know about..."
Lilith took a blue book with a blue gem in its center from one of the nearby shelves.
"This book contains complete instructions on how to master water elemental spells in great detail. From methods to requirements, and interesting facts."
Lilith returned the book to the shelf.
"You can borrow or rent them, provided you sign your name in the contract, and we'll explain all the rules..."
