Chapter 71 - Collection Room and Empty Room

"Please don't lose your enthusiasm, as the next floor will be even more interesting. Please follow me."

Once again, Lilith returned to the spiral staircase and began climbing to the next floor, the fifth floor.

As usual, Kaizoku and Sylphy patiently followed Lilith from behind.

After a few minutes, they finally reached the fifth floor. Unlike the previous floors, there was no unique scent, but this floor had its own distinct feature - it was rather dark.

"Welcome to the fifth floor, where Lord Gon keeps his collections. You can look around, but please don't touch anything you see."

Lilith presented Gon's collections, which appeared strange and unique. These collections were indeed difficult to describe and likely held secret special meanings.

Kaizoku and Sylphy examined the collections more closely.

More specifically, they both looked at a painting depicting a large dragon, though only its skeleton remained, appearing to be sleeping? This seemed quite strange to them both.

Seeing Kaizoku and Sylphy studying the painting, Lilith wanted to explain its meaning. She stepped between them and, with a small smile, explained.

"I see you're trying to understand the meaning of this painting. Let me explain. This painting represents a dragon who waited for a worthy opponent, but no one could match its strength."

"As a result, the dragon died alone, staying true to its principles, waiting for an equal opponent."

Lilith stepped back, giving Kaizoku and Sylphy space to think.

"I can explain further, and if you're interested, we can look at other collect-"

Sylphy cut off Lilith's words.

"No, no. Thank you for the offer, but we'd prefer to expedite our journey to meet Lord Gon, as we have an important matter to discuss, and we need his help."

Lilith remained silent for a moment. Then she continued with a different response.

"Very well, if that's your choice. Please follow me to the next floor..."

Lilith walked back to the spiral staircase, followed by Kaizoku and Sylphy once again.

By this point, Kaizoku was growing tired from climbing the stairs. Unlike Sylphy or Lilith, who were probably used to climbing stairs, Kaizoku wasn't accustomed to it.

The last time he had climbed so many stairs was probably during his school days. He was more comfortable using elevators that moved up automatically.

Sweat dripping and breathing heavily, Kaizoku forced himself to keep climbing.

Finally, they all reached the sixth floor.

"Welcome to the sixth floor. Please excuse the emptiness, as we haven't yet decided what to use this room for. However, from here you can see almost all of the Underworld."

Lilith walked to a wide-open window, followed by Kaizoku and Sylphy.

They all saw a green sea filled with restless souls, looking like bodies drifting aimlessly.

Kaizoku and Sylphy witnessed the horror of the ocean from above.

They quickly stepped back in fear, unable to bear the sight of the terrifying ocean.

Lilith, seeing their fear, could only offer a small smile.

"Why? Isn't the Ocean of Death beautiful...?"

Kaizoku and Sylphy nod their heads with smiles in agreement.
