Chapter 72 - Artificial Garden and Lord Gon's Weapons

Kaizoku and Sylphy didn't want to appear afraid, so they both agreed to keep pretending to be brave.

Nodding their heads, Kaizoku and Sylphy stood up from where they had fallen.

"Yes... Yes! The ocean is indeed very beautiful... Hehe..." Sylphy said with a forced smile.

Lilith looked at them as if she already knew they were just pretending to be brave.

"Well... I think you don't want to see the ocean anymore, so let's continue our journey to the seventh floor instead."

Without further ado, Lilith walked back to the spiral staircase and went up.

Kaizoku and Sylphy exchanged confused glances.

"Huff... Why do we have to be scared? We could have rested for a while. I'm getting tired."

Kaizoku reluctantly followed Lilith from behind despite being exhausted.

Sylphy, who heard the complaint, followed along.

"Oh come on, now is not the time to complain. Maybe the owner will offer us a room to rest, if they're kind enough."

Kaizoku could only sigh, accepting his fate and destiny. For now, he just needed to keep his mouth shut and not cause any more trouble, at least for one day.

Although Kaizoku kept stopping halfway, he finally managed to reach the seventh floor, where Lilith was waiting for them patiently.

"Oh god... Give me a break! Finally made it! Please continue with the explanation, Lilith," said Kaizoku, breathing heavily and panting.

"Welcome to the seventh floor. I see you're quite exhausted. Therefore, this floor's room is perfect for you to rest. Welcome to the indoor garden."

Lilith showed them an artificial garden that was quite beautiful and large. Although the garden was indoors, it looked like an outdoor space filled with green grass and artificial cloud imagery.

Seeing a long wooden bench, Kaizoku immediately ran toward it at full speed and lay down.

Sylphy, witnessing Kaizoku's behavior, tried to normalize it.

"I apologize for his rudeness." Sylphy tried not to feel embarrassed, although in her mind she was extremely mortified about everything.

Lilith smiled slightly, forgiving Kaizoku's behavior, because she understood why...

"It's alright, let him be. We're very happy to have guests like you. It's rare or almost impossible for this castle to receive visitors. You should already know why."

Sylphy understood what Lilith was talking about. She lowered her head and answered while placing her finger on her chin.

"Yes... I understand why..."

Lilith looked through a small window and realized that time had passed faster than she expected.

"It seems time is getting late. Could we speed up this introduction? I don't want you and I to miss dinner with Lord Gon."

Kaizoku, hearing Lilith's words, was surprised and resigned.

"I just started resting! Ah well, let's continue." Kaizoku stood up from his rest and rejoined Sylphy and Lilith.

The three of them continued their journey up the spiral staircase.

Although Kaizoku was very tired, they finally reached the eighth floor.

"Welcome to the eighth floor, where Lord Gon's weapons are stored. As before, please don't touch anything you see. Respect Lord Gon's possessions."

Kaizoku and Sylphy saw a large bone scythe embedded in the center of the room.

They approached the bone scythe and saw writing inscribed on the wooden floor beneath them, reading 'Scythe of Apocalypse.'
