Chapter 73 - Locked Destion and Mysterious Figure

Lilith watched as Kaizoku and Sylphy examined the large bone scythe, and she walked closer.

"Ah... The Scythe of Apocalypse. This scythe is Lord Gon's primary weapon for fighting his enemies."

Kaizoku and Sylphy exchanged uncertain glances, knowing that if they caused any trouble with Gon, they would have to face whatever fate he and his weapon had in store for them.

Lilith stepped back slightly, then continued her explanation.

"The scythe produces a special green fluid when Lord Gon wields it. Anyone touched by this fluid immediately loses their soul. In another word, die."

With a sharp gaze, Sylphy continues, "I hope both of you knows the basic of this reality, everything has a soul, including things."

These words sent chills down Kaizoku and Sylphy's spines. Certainly, they had never directly experienced such tremendous power.

They nervously swallowed and turned their attention back to Lilith.

"We only need two more floors to reach Lord Gon. Please steady your legs and mind your manners. Let's continue to the next floor, follow me."

As usual, Kaizoku and Sylphy followed Lilith from behind, returning to the spiral staircase and heading up.

Once again, Kaizoku and the others managed to reach the ninth floor.

Though panting, Kaizoku tried to maintain his spirit and not lose hope of escaping this world.

"Welcome to where we keep all our weapons."

When Kaizoku looked ahead, his gaze immediately fixed on Destion in the center of the room, locked in an iron cage covered by green magic words that moved in all directions around the enclosure.

Kaizoku wasn't the only one who noticed; Sylphy was also shocked to see Kaizoku's weapon locked inside the iron cage covered by strange green magic.

Though Lilith was explaining about the room, Kaizoku and Sylphy were busy quietly discussing the imprisoned Destion.

Sylphy whispered very softly into Kaizoku's ear. "Psst... Isn't that your weapon?"

Kaizoku replied in an equally soft tone. "Yes... That's my Destion, my revolver... That's why when I used the Call spell, it didn't come to my hand."

Their whispers were interrupted by Lilith, who had finished her explanation. She turned around and asked.

"So, are you ready to meet Lord Gon?"

Kaizoku and Sylphy quickly returned to their original positions. They bowed their heads uncertainly.

"Uh, yes, we're ready."

Without further delay, Lilith walked back to the spiral staircase, followed again by Kaizoku and Sylphy.

The next floor was the tenth, where Gon was waiting. Although Kaizoku strongly objected to leaving Destion behind, he couldn't take the risk; he had to play it safe.

As they went higher, Kaizoku and Sylphy continuously felt an increasingly frightening aura from the room above.

Even so, they forced themselves to stay brave and keep walking upward.

Finally, Kaizoku and Sylphy reached the tenth floor, where they saw someone sitting in a large chair covered in bones.

Their vision wasn't very clear because the figure was quite far from where they stood.

"Please mind your manners, let us continue our journey..."

With hesitation and nervousness, Kaizoku and Sylphy were compelled to walk forward, approaching the mysterious figure.
