Chapter 79 - Turning Point

Everyone was still waiting for Lilith to finish removing the spell. They had been waiting for over two hours now with full awkwardness.

Suddenly, someone rushed up the spiral staircase toward Lord Gon in a hurry.

Kaizoku and Sylphy recognized the man's appearance. His luxurious uniform was that of The Bliss forces.

The man was injured, with a clean slash wound across his left arm. The wound was too precise – clearly made by a sword.

Although Kaizoku and Sylphy recognized him as a member of The Bliss, they had to pretend not to know him since their mission to escape the Underworld was nearly complete.

Gon sensed the man's presence without turning around. He was quite irritated that a human had entered his castle without permission or notice.

"Human... State your name and business here."

The man was panting heavily, and in his panic, he could barely form a coherent response.

"Lord... Lord Gon! Our base- our base... Our base is... Under attack!"

Not wanting the man to disturb Kaizoku, Sylphy, and Lilith, Gon took him downstairs to speak privately.

"Hmm... continue removing the spell. Gon will handle this matter. You, we'll discuss this downstairs."

The man bowed his head and followed Gon back down the spiral staircase.

He seemed too exhausted and panicked to notice Kaizoku and Sylphy standing before Gon.

While Lilith continued working on removing the spell from the prison, Sylphy tried to eavesdrop on their conversation.

Thanks to her enhanced hearing, she could listen to their discussion from the floor above.

The man finally calmed down and explained what was happening above the Underworld.

"Lord Gon... I apologize for entering the Underworld without permission. I was thrown here while fighting my opponents."

"My name is Faris, a member of The Bliss serving Lord Thomas. Seinaru Gabriel, one of the members helping the hero Kaizoku is trying to destroy Lord Ishayaki's position as demon lord."

His words shocked Sylphy, and she grew anxious that their identities would soon be exposed.

She whispered to Kaizoku what she had heard. "Kai... He's looking for you... We can't stay here much longer..."

Hearing this information made Kaizoku panic as well. He whispered back. "Stay calm... As long as we're using fake names, we should be safe..."

Sylphy continued eavesdropping on Gon and the man's conversation. Hearing Gon's response, Sylphy focused intently.

"Kaizoku? Gon has never heard that name in the Underworld."

Sylphy heard the man's shocked reaction to Gon's words.

"Impossible. Kaizoku was pulled into the Underworld itself. Using Lord Thomas's spell Die in Hatred, Lord Thomas strengthened the Underworld's pull, and Kaizoku entered the portal.

"He uses a strange weapon that can kill humans with a single strike."

His answer made Sylphy even more anxious, realizing The Bliss knows what happened.

"A strange weapon, you say... Gon think know what you mean. Perhaps you should see for yourself, and if we're lucky, we might find Kaizoku in this place..."

Instantly, Sylphy immediately felt very strong goosebumps. This is likely the turning point of the problem.
