Chapter 9: The Blizzard

Emerald take a deep breath as she was surrounded. She look around for the chance to escape.

"Ah. I never thought I would met you again. It was nice to get my revenge." A dark magician who was from the wagon they attack before step up.

"you. I thought giving mercy make you stop but nevermind. All I have to do is get through you, right?" Emerald said as her eyes glow green as she prepare her wind magic.

"Apperantly." He said and also prepare his dark magic.

The dark magicians start to hurl the dark bolts to her. She activates the wind barrier and most of the spell deflected away. One of the mages sprints and use a focused dark bolt close to the wind barrier and it breaks.

"Oh my god! Why are you all so persistant!" She jumps back immediately shot a few small wind shard to destroy the incoming dark bolts.

"You all have giving us a lot of hard time! You must pay.. with your soul!"

The mage sprints up to her and infuse darkness to his shoes then kick her. She block the kick but she got sent flying to the snowy mountain side and make her burried in snow.

They start to throw a lot of dark bolts to the direction to make sure she didn't survive. She, on the other hand cast another wind barrier and was preparing another spell.

"they can't see me and this situation is advantage to. I must end this quick.

She then breaks the wind barrier that makes the snow scattered around and she cast a spell as she shouts.

"It's my turn!!"

She cast a wind tornado. with the coldness and all the snow and ice spikes at the tree get sucked into the tornado and make it a deadly blizzard.

"Nature infuse: Blizzard tornado!" As she cast 'nature infuse, the small ice spike and snow getting infused with magic it grow bigger and sharper while the snow getting as hard as rock.

The dark magician were caught off guard by this and most of them were sucked by the deadly tornado. She quickly make a run while the dark magician we scattered around to run from the powerful tornado.

She keep running away and before she realised it, the dark mage from before that breaks her wind barried earlier was standing in her path. That mage seems pretty enrage at the point.

"you think you smart enough to outsmart me? I am faster than you." He said as he crackles his finger.

"Uh..." She feel threatened since she could feel the growth of the dark magic in that mage.

"And your little walk will end... HEreEeee!!!" He were sent flying to a tree and he hit the tree hard, make the snow on the tree falls and burried him inside.

Emerald turn to side just to see Bladge, Black Blade's horse were galloping and kinda like asking her to get on it's back. Without any hesitation, she climbs Bladges back and it ran towards the village.

At the same time, at the village. The village were burnt down by fire as the dark magician looking for the holy crystal who should be in the village.

A leader of the dark magician named Joachim were interogating Aldred who was hiding he crystal. Aldred were bounded with a rope.

"Where do you put the crystal old man." He ask as he hold Aldred's hair to make him look up.

"Like hell I would tell you. Not for your kind, who kills Melloyern first and greatest king!" He said and spit to Joachim's face.

"What you said!?" He kicked Aldred's face and he falls grovel to the ground.

Joachim were getting a bit worked up as he cast a dark blast but aims it away. The dark blast hits a house and it's totally destroyed like lego house.

"Listen to me old man. Before that hits you, you better tell me where's the damn crystal is!"

"Kill me if you like. You'll never know where's the crystal is." Aldred chuckles with an annoying smile.

As he sees the annoying face of Aldred, he punch his face and the old man loosing a few of his teeth and his nose crack. Blood runs from his nose and mouth. He's about to cast a dark bolt to Aldred but a wind bolts hits his face and send him flying to a house and the impact from the wind bolt is enough to break the house wall.

"Sir Aldred!" Emerald get down the horse and quickly checks his condition.

"I'm fine. You must help us..."

The dark magician who was looking for the crystal around the village gathers there after the loud sound of Joachim get thrown to house loud enough to call them all.

"Get her!" Joachim said as he still recovering from the impact that make his head spins.

All the dark mages start to focus to Emerald. the only thing she could is prepare the wind barrier again. She can't cast the Nature infused tornado again since this area were the village and destroying the village were not in the task. For the first time, She gritted her teeth since this situation seems like her grave now. She not just need to defeat the dark mages, she also need to do that without hurting the villager.

Meanwhile, at the Nanook's nest, Black Blade was running and jumping around evading the ice spike that Nanook cast to him.

"Belittled within the side, protecting what's behind and destroy what's in the front, Therefore I called upon you, Fire screen!" he swings his hand in semi-arc shape and a fire screen appear, blockes and melt the ice spike that hit it.

Nanook walks closer to him and swings it's palm to Black Blade. He jumps evade the swings and slash his sword to Nanook's hand. He manage to cut one fingger. Nanook growls and again attack him directly while also cast ice spikes.

He swing his sword and blocks the ice spikes as he get a pierced at his right arm. He quickly hopped away from Nanook as it wanted to crash him from the top. He managed to get some distance from Nanook and he realised that his limb that was pierced by the ice spike couldn't move.

He just realised soon after when he saw that the area we already freezing and the frostbite were spreading from the wound.

"this is bad! Very bad!" He start to hoping away further from Nanook as it was distracted to the wound at it's hand.

He managed to hide behind a big boulder and catching his breath while casting a fire to melts the ice spike so the frostbite magic that Nanook's cast stop spreading.

"That beast really is something else. I can't defeat it alone."

"Then, why don't you ask for help?" A voice echoes in his head.

He look up and a female magician jumps down and stands in front of him.

"Would you like me to help?" she smile and start to cast a spell and the frostbite that was at Black Blade's hand cured like it was never there.

"If you please to. I really could use a help now."

She look at Black Blade as she nodded. Her face get serious and her fiery red eye glows as she was using her fire magic. Red aura envelopes her as her crimson hair sways to the blizzard around this area.

"I shall oblige." She said as get Black Blade up to his feet.
