Chapter 150 Sabrina

"Another boring challenger..." After Alakazam defeated her Rival, Sabrina couldn't help but show a trace of annoyance on her calm face, but quickly suppressed it.

"No... impossible...." The challenger panicked and sat on the ground, backing away repeatedly. He didn't want to face the consequences of failure and didn't want to become a doll for a week!

Sabrina ignored the challenger's wailing. Her eyes flickered slightly, and she silently activated her Psychic powers, wrapping the challenger up and levitating him.

"Don't! Don't! Please, don't turn me into a doll!" The challenger struggled in panic, but his strength couldn't compare to Sabrina's Psychic abilities. After a while, he began to shrink, eventually transforming into a doll resembling his appearance and falling to the ground.

Although the referee had witnessed this many times, he couldn't help but feel terrified each time. He feared that if he made a mistake, Sabrina would turn him into a doll as well. He didn't want to experience that.

"Put him and his Pokémon away. Return them to him after he recovers." Sabrina looked coldly at the assistant, giving a faint order, then turned and left.

"Yes!" Seeing Sabrina's departing figure, the assistant bowed deeply, not daring to look directly at her.

Sabrina returned to her seat, crossed her slender legs, rested one hand on the armrest, supported her cheek with the other, and gazed at the entrance of the battle hall, waiting for the next challenger's arrival.

A moment later, the next challenger entered the battle hall. The three-on-three duel ended again in just two minutes, including the time for the referee to announce the rules.

This challenger was a Poké Ball-level Trainer, and his main Pokémon was also at the elite level. However, in front of Sabrina, he was as helpless as a child, with no power to fight back.

Sabrina's Pokémon wasn't even her main team; it was one provided by the Alliance to face challengers, and its strength was on par with the challenger's Pokémon.

This Trainer was much calmer than the previous one. Although still a little nervous, he seemed more at ease, as if unafraid of being turned into a doll.

He looked at Sabrina with a hint of puzzlement and doubt, and even a trace of unfathomable pity. He felt that Sabrina was quite strange.

Sabrina noticed the challenger's gaze but didn't care. After using her Psychic powers again to transform the challenger into a doll, she felt a little tired.

This wasn't physical or mental fatigue, but inner exhaustion. This wasn't the life she had envisioned. The challengers' strength couldn't help her improve at all, neither in her Psychic abilities nor as a Trainer.

One day passed, and Sabrina returned home.

"I'm back. How do you feel today?" Sabrina's mother, hearing the door, immediately dried her hands with an apron and came to the entrance, looking at Sabrina with a smile, as if unaffected by having been turned into a doll by Sabrina two years ago.

Sabrina responded neutrally, then walked past her mother indifferently, saying, "I won't eat tonight."

"Bu..." Sabrina's mother opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but looking at Sabrina's back, she swallowed her words, her eyes filled with complex emotions.

In truth, she wasn't afraid of Sabrina and understood her well. Sabrina's coldness towards her and her father wasn't because she didn't want to see them, but because she didn't know how to interact with them.

The incident two years ago seemed to have passed, but it had left Sabrina feeling guilty towards her parents. Her underdeveloped emotional maturity made her unsure how to express herself.

Returning to her room, Sabrina threw herself onto the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. Her room wasn't as cold as outsiders imagined; it was rather childish.

The pink-purple walls resembled Mew, reflecting the representative color of Psychic-types. The room was filled with various dolls and toys, Sabrina's cherished possessions and companions throughout her childhood.

Since her Psychic powers manifested, she initially couldn't control them, causing fear among other children. This gradually transformed Sabrina from a cheerful and optimistic child into a lonely one, eventually becoming the cold and aloof person she was now.

Two years ago, an emotional outburst caused her Psychic powers to spiral out of control. She was dominated by them, leading her to do things she didn't want to, including turning her parents into dolls.

This experience constantly replayed in Sabrina's mind, tormenting her. It was one of the main reasons she didn't know how to face her parents.

"What should I do...?" Sabrina hugged the pillow beside her, her eyes filled with confusion. She didn't know what her future held.

She desperately wanted to apologize to her parents but didn't know how to express it. She longed to leave the Saffron Gym and explore the outside world but felt unsure of how to act.

Sabrina curled up, clutching the pillow tightly. In that moment, she wasn't the Iceberg Queen the world perceived her to be, but a vulnerable and helpless young woman.

Knock, knock... Just as Sabrina was lost in thought and about to fall asleep, a knock at the door startled her, and her expression turned cold.

Putting down the pillow, Sabrina got out of bed and opened the door. Her mother and father stood outside.

"Even though you said you wouldn't eat dinner, we thought you might still want something." Her parents smiled, and her mother held a tray with several dishes.

Sabrina responded indifferently, then nodded slightly. Using her psychic powers, she levitated the tray from her mother's hands and placed it on the table in her room.

"After eating, just leave the dishes at the door, and I'll come and get them." Seeing this, her parents smiled even wider, despite Sabrina's silence.

Sabrina nodded slightly and closed the door. Once her parents were out of sight, she revealed a look of annoyance. She wanted to thank them but couldn't bring herself to say the words.

Looking at the dinner her mother had carefully prepared, Sabrina's eyes softened. She approached the table, silently thanking her mother, and began to eat.

Everything was prepared to her liking, and the flavors were perfectly suited to her taste.

After dinner, Sabrina didn't leave the dishes at the door as her mother had instructed. Instead, she took them to the kitchen downstairs and washed them herself.

After Sabrina left, her parents entered the kitchen. Looking at the imperfectly washed dishes, they exchanged smiles and washed them again.
