Saved by my nemesis

"Host? Host?" Lin Xuan was gradually drawn out of the emptiness his mind had been compelled to enter by the far-off calls. "Host?"

"B...Bai?" Lin Xuan called weakly as he felt foreign hands on his exposed skin. "What...whe..."

"You must summon your protector, Host, or you will suffer at the hands of these goons," Bai's voice instructed Lin Xuan, who fought heaven and hell to open his eyes. It took all the will he had to crack them open, but even then, his vision was blurry, just like the muffled voices speaking around him.

The only thing he became greatly aware of was the warm lips kissing his neck and shoulders.

He tried to move his limbs but they seemed to be bound by something, no, someone. Two other men had pinned him down while the third went first to have his way with him.

"His skin is really soft, brothers," the man on Lin Xuan commented pulling back.

While the others watched greedily, the one on Lin Xuan disrobed until only his pants were left. "I'm excited to dishonor this body before the beasts feast on it."

"Grh!" Lin Xuan groaned as despair settled in. He could not move, and his body felt as if gravity was aimed at it.

The man, who was now partially nude, was about to remove Lin Xuan's pants when he suddenly recalled Bai's instruction to "summon Liang Yi."

'Liang Yi!' he yelled in his head, squeezing shut his eyes to shield himself from the harassment they were subjecting him to, and a tear rolled down his temples from each eye. 'Liang Yi, I command you to come and protect me!'

"Oh look, he's so happy that he's crying," one of the men pinning Lin Xuan mocked before they all roared in laughter.

"Then I shouldn't keep him waiting."

Just as the band of Lin Xuan's pants was about to move past his crotch, a sudden cold wind blew inside the cave. It made the fire crackled and the flames dance while filling the men with goosebumps.

The hands on Lin Xuan's pants ceased moving as the owner gasped jerking his head in the direction the chilly wind had blown from.

"What is-"

The fire that had been full of life suddenly died out, frightening the grown men who had been proudly conversing about how they'd take turns on Lin Xuan.

"Aaa-" A man's terrified yell was cut short and a heavy thud followed.

"Who, who's there? Do you dare to show-" A second man was also silenced, and his body flung in the air to hit the rough, hard wall.

Lin Xuan, who still couldn't move, was left to helplessly listen as the mysterious person took out the goons one after the other. Swords clattered on the rocky floor, and horrified groans filled the air for a short while before everything went...silent.

Lin Xuan couldn't even breathe properly as his own fear washed through his chest and veins. No matter how hard he peeled open his eyes, he couldn't see a thing. Not until the fire lit up on its own, illuminating the blood splattered on the walls, ceiling, and the one flowing from the corpses on the floor. Standing at the center of the bodies was none other than, Liang Yi.

He was in only a pair of white pants and a loose night robe, barefooted, and held an oddly shaped sword that looked like it was made from pure jade.

"Li... L..." Lin Xuan still couldn't push the words from his mouth as the drug hadn't worn off.

Liang Yi came over where Lin Xuan was paralyzed and scowled down at him. He noticed the marks left on Lin Xuan's neck and shoulders from whatever had been going on which Liang Yi didn't want to even think about, and ignored it all.

The jade sword vanished from Liang Yi's hands just as he bent down. "You better lift this curse when you feel better or I will let bastards like these kill you."

Lin Xuan just moved his eyes elsewhere, cursing Liang Yi on the inside.

Unexpectedly, Liang Yi grabbed the duvets and rolled Lin Xuan's body in them like a log before lifting him from the ground.

"I should have let them kill you. Why have I saved you?"

There was no answer for Lin Xuan, whose head was upside down and covered by the thick covers. He couldn't even see where they were going, let alone find a way to vent his frustrations.

All he could smell was the faint fragrance coming from Liang Yi as if he had come straight from a bath.

"Stay here until the drug wears off."

Lin Xuan was thrown in his carriage like a sack of potatoes and then abandoned.

'You bastard!' he yelled in his mind but Liang Yi couldn't hear him. Even if he had, he wouldn't have cared at all.

A man who couldn't even defend himself was a waste before his eyes whether rich or poor.

LIN XUAN'S POV

**********************************

I had survived.

All thanks to my cold nemesis, Liang Yi.

But he had mercilessly tossed me on the floor of the carriage like my body didn't matter and then left.

It was dark in here, but the moonlight penetrating through the open window gave me comfort.

How, how had things turned out this way?

I thought I'd relieve the miserable torture I had suffered in my past life. Just like I had been molested before being killed, those servants would have done the same. And that, that was scary.

I thought that in a man's body, I'd not go through that traumatic experience, but I was wrong. Very wrong.

Shedding tears and sobbing on the inside, I unintentionally cried myself to sleep.

Bright light. Birds chirping. Something poking my ribs. Something poking me?

I awoke in a gasp sitting up. But my hasty movement had me headbutt the man who was squatting next to me.

"Argh!" Liang Yi groaned holding his nose as the first crimson drops fell in the blue-green duvet around my body. "You little-"

"I'm so sorry."

I hurried out of the duvet cocoon and knelt in front of him. "Sit down, you-"

"Get away from me." He shoved me aside and I fell back on the covers, my hair spraying all over my back and chest, reminding me that I was bare of most clothes.

Suddenly conscious, even though the body was still a man's, I quickly covered my nonexistent chest.

"Tsk! Are you feeling shy now? Don't make me laugh."

"You! Ah, never mind. You saved me, thank you."

"I don't need your gratitude. Send me back or remove this curse right now."

I turned my face at Liang Yi. His nose had stopped bleeding but there was a blood spot under his nose that now looked like a little mustache. I quickly turned away, chuckling to myself to avoid any more of his bad temper.
