Chapter Nineteen & Twenty

"Hey", Axel greeted her and sat on the little space she made for him on the bed.

"Thanks for coming boss", Bianca said with a smile.

"It's alright. I've been dying to see you though. You still look pretty", He praised her and she blushed.

"Thanks", She replied and laughed when she saw him bring out her official laptop from his bag.

"Seriously?", Bianca asked and he raised his brow.

"Seriously", He replied and glanced at her fingers. He was surprised to see it that way and bit his lips. Bianca saw him wanting to return the laptop to the bag but she stopped him.

"It's fine. I can work", She smiled but he didn't agree.

"He's gonna fire me for making you work in this state", Axel whispered.

"He's not here, is he?", Bianca replied.

"Even though, I still value my job, Bianca", Axel retorted.

"Not me. I want to leave as soon as possible", Bianca said seriously.

Axel returned the laptop to her and looked at her sternly. He was bothered about her determination to leave when she was so happy she got the job in the very beginning. That was when he was alert of Rebecca's ridiculous plan.

"Is anything troubling you?", He asked and moved closer to her.

"You're behaving like Archie right now", She laughed and he joined in the laughter.

"How?", He asked.

"You both have this kind of serious mode in you when all you do is flirt around with girls like me", She cried out.

Axel laughed and agreed on that statement. "But I ain't lying when I said I liked you, you know that Bianca"

"Whatever", She rolled her eyes.

"I bought this for you on my way. You like strawberries, right?", He asked her and she nodded.

Her eyes lit up when he brought out a moderate bottle of strawberry juice from his bag.

"Thanks Axel", She hugged him and he hugged her back.

"It's fine", Axel grinned and asked if there was anything she needed.

"Yes", She said seriously.

"What's that?", He asked and her response amazed him to a big feat.

"Take Rafael far away from me, please", She laughed and he joined in the laughter as usual.

"You shouldn't joke with him", Axel stated and she nodded.

He suddenly took her fingers in his and began to rub a cold ointment on her bruised fingers.

"I'm sorry", He whispered and began to touch her hair fondly. Bianca had butterflies in her belly when he did that with that warm look in his eyes.

Damn!

He's fucking hot!!!

"Does it sting?", He asked her but she was far deep into her own thoughts.

"Huh?"

She was looking at him with a confused look in her eyes.

"I asked if it stings", He repeated and she nodded slowly.

"Oh", He slowly said and began to blow some air on her delicate fingers.

There was a little bit of silence for a moment before he asked her of her relationship.

"Maybe I should give guys some chances in my life. They've always been coming but I've been rejecting them", She said.

"I know", He chipped in and she chuckled.

"I won't be with a man that won't want my baby", She said seriously.

"Really?"

"Yeah. A man that loves me will love Rafael too. I don't want a man that wants nothing to offer than to get into my pants"

"Oh! You don't sound like my mom", Axel said quietly and stopped applying the ointment.

"Oh my! Don't tell me-"

"Yeah. For some millions and luxury bags", Axel smiled.

"No, she didn't", Bianca covered her mouth in shock.

"I was really young then. I might have been six or so", He said with a smile.

"Why the hell are you smiling, Axel?", Bianca asked.

"Cause I made it", Axel replied. Bianca knew he must have surely missed his mother even though he was talking with bitterness and hate.

"You need a hug", Bianca stood up from the bed and embraced him warmly.

He encircled her tiny waist and buried his face in her chest. Bianca patted his back slowly and rubbed his head tenderly.

"Fuck, you smell so good", He said and she slapped his head.

"What are you doing?", Bianca asked and tried to let go but he held her tightly.

"I didn't do anything, did I?", He asked cutely.

"I'm just doing this because our case is similar", She said.

"Then we're meant to be together", He said but she didn't reply.

"I like you Bianca", He told her and she sighed.

"Axel", She called and looked deeply in her eyes. He suddenly pulled her to sit on his lap. She gasped and was nervous all of a sudden. She was even uncomfortable because she doesn't want to be seen like that by anyone especially Rhys because they were in the same hospital.

He hasn't come to see her that day and she was slightly bothered.

"I may look patient but I'm not", He said and she sighed.

"I don't know, Axel", She said in an hushed voice.

"Do you want me to wait a bit longer?", He asked.

"Not that. I don't think I like you in a romantic way", She finally said.

Axel didn't say anything for some time but could only breathe in and out for some time.

"Don't worry about that, love", He cupped her little face and began to lean in.

Bianca knew what was coming. She watches movies a lot so she knew she had to stop the freaking kiss from happening. She can't make the audience happy some times.

She turned her face away so his lips landed on her lower cheek.

"I'm sorry", She said and stood up from his lap. "You should go. Camila and Archie would soon be here with Rafael"

"I'll come see you soon", He stood up and dropped the laptop in a safe area.

"Bye Axel", She waved at him till he was out of the ward. She then sat on the bed and face palmed herself after praising herself for not kissing him.

"You're up?", Evie stood up from the chair she was sitting on and raised the curtains.

Oliver quickly removed his eyes from the bright rays that penetrated the room.

"What did you do to me, Evie?", Oliver asked angrily.

"Not me, Oliver", Evie replied with an angry look.

"Take me out of here", He said and looked around the creepy room.

"I'm afraid I can't do that, Oliver. You see, you have to stay here for sometime", Evie replied.

"What are you saying?", Oliver was angry now.

"First, you drugged me. Now, you've kidnapped me, right?", He asked.

"Not me, Oliver!", Evie yelled.

"Prove it, Evie!!", Oliver yelled back and asked, "Is Bianca fine?"

"You should be worried about yourself, you idiot", Evie muttered under her breath.

"Tell me quickly. I don't have time to wrap my poor head around the ridiculous plan you and that crazy witch drafted", He declared.

"Mind telling me the crazy witch?", Evie wanted to know now.

"Just get me out of this creepy hole, Evie", Oliver shouted and stood up.

"Do you want to leave that badly or think with me to save her fucking life?", Evie asked.

"What have you done, Evie?", Oliver asked and looked at her in a weird manner.

"What could I have possibly done?", Evie asked.

"Is she fine?", Oliver heaved a sigh.

"She should be. She just got into a minor accident and had some bruises", Evie gave him the information he needed.

"Really? And she's fine?", Oliver scoffed and banged on the door.

"Keep wasting the precious time I have with you by doing that, okay?", Evie remarked but he rolled his eyes.

"What are you doing here, Evie?", Oliver couldn't bear it anytime.

"I came to tell you Bianca's gonna be dead in two days", Evie walked to him.

Oliver was too stunned to speak and could only look at her with shock in his eyes.

"So, you can be the shiny knight in armor to save her", She added.

"Why are you just telling me this?", Oliver asked.

"Because I don't really want her dead", Evie said. "I just want you to know that I'm the one that's going to carry out the dirty work while the ugly bitch would sit in her damn office for so long while expecting to hear the good news", Evie gritted her teeth.

"I have to use all of me to stop all of you!", Oliver said with a determined gaze and stared at Evie with a crazy look.

Luca walked into Acceber D & Ss company with his assistant by his side. The secretary placed a call to her boss immediately she saw him walk through the glass sliding door across her.

"What?", The secretary could tell that Rebecca was in a mood that afternoon.

"Mr. Luca is here, ma'am", The secretary told her.

"Tell him I'm not in", Rebecca hung up on her secretary angrily.

Luca approached the secretary with a small smile on his face.

"Hello!", He greeted the secretary.

"Good afternoon sir", The secretary returned his greetings.

"May I see your boss, please", Luca smiled.

"I'm sorry. She's not in at the moment, sir", The secretary lied with a straight face. She was just following orders too so she's doing the right thing.

"You really do fit into the entertainment industry", Luca said.

"Why, sir?", The secretary asked.

"You lie so easily", He replied and she apologized immediately to him.

"I'm just following orders, sir. You really can't meet her", The secretary said.

Luca pulled out his business card from his pocket and dropped it on her table before walking into Rebecca's office.

"Please contact Mr. Luca after Miss Rebecca fires you", Luca's assistant spoke on his behalf.

The secretary thanked him and kept the card inside her bag.

Rebecca was not surprised when she saw Luca walk into her office with his assistant tailing behind.

"You're really something, Luca", She smiled.

"I'm not here to laugh with you, Rebecca", Luca said with a frown. He sat on the sofa opposite her with his assistant standing behind him.

"I'm so honored right now. I can't believe you really left your grand office to come to Acceber", Rebecca said.

"I'm not happy to see you alive, Rebecca", Luca said bluntly. Rebecca was alarmed when she heard that. She began to fret but she kept her cool. She didn't know how she managed to annoy someone like Luca.

She had always been on his good side and doesn't want to know his bad side…not yet.

"What is it?", Rebecca asked.

Luca waved his hand and his assistant left the room immediately so they could talk in private.

"You know Bianca, don't you?", He asked calmly.

It then dawned on Rebecca on the mistake she made. She shouldn't have me touched her since Luca has an interest in her.

But for some reason, she was glad that she managed to hurt her.

"So?", She asked.

"You hurt her, didn't you?", Luca asked.

"Yes. Is she related to you?", Rebecca asked.

"What do you know?", Luca tsked.

"Mikell!", Rebecca yelled and slammed her hand on her armrest.

"Don't let me come after you, Mitchell!", Luca warned her. "I came here to warn you and this is your final warning from me. I dare you to carry out you plan in two days time"

Rebecca felt challenged and glared at him, "What will you do, Luca?"

"Nothing", He laughed. "I'm powerless, Rebecca", He said.

"But remember this; an eye for eye but I'd love a finger for a life", Luca said and stood up from the sofa.

"Fuck you Luca. You can't do anything to me!", Rebecca yelled.

"That's why I said I'm powerless, remember?", He leaned in and whispered into her ears. "But my love, a miracle can happen. That means I can be powerful all of a sudden"

He leaned back and gave her a wicked smile before walking out of her office.

Rhys yawned and rubbed his neck tenderly. He had been working so much that he forgot to check up on Bianca. It was only Rafael that came to check up on him. Camila and Archie just brought him along to check up on him in the afternoon.

They don't know anything at all but he was super glad when he laid eyes on his baby. He was damn happy but he hid his reaction very well. He had played with the baby very well when Camila and Archie has gone out to buy food.

He knew Rafael was also happy to see him but he was calling for his mama all along. He did give him some slaps though.

He had actually gone to see Bianca in the afternoon but Axel was in her room then. He didn't know why he didn't leave when he saw that someone was there but he ended up watching them till Axel decided to leave.

He was happy down within him when Bianca rejected his kiss. She had said that she doesn't like him romantically meaning that she only see him as her boss and nothing else.

He had even thought of firing him before buy he can't be wicked enough to fire him. He had decided to be patient enough to see if Bianca feels the same about him.

He removed his glasses and wanted to continue his work when he saw Bianca at his door. His heart began to race when he saw her in her night gown. She was not in her hospital gown anymore but in something nicer and…sexy.

"Hi", She said shyly and he said the same.

"I didn't know you would be working by this time. I shouldn't have come", She said and tried to go back when he stopped her.

"It's fine. You're here now", He replied.

"Yeah", She said.

"I should have come to see you sooner", He said.

"I came to see you", She bit her lips.

He stood up from his chair and asked if she has eaten.

"Not yet", She replied.

"What do you want to eat? I can order something for us", He took out his phone but she stopped him.

"I'm not hungry. That's what I wanted to say. There no need for you to order something for me", Bianca said.

"Me too", He said.

"You said 'us'", Bianca pointed out.

"Did I?", He asked. He wanted to eat with her if she was eating but she wasn't so he wasn't eating either.

"Okay. I'll eat spaghetti and chicken", She said.

"Okay. Let me order two plates quickly", He began to order.

"I like drumsticks", She blurted out and he nodded.

"I know", He said.

Bianca watched him type on his phone with his long, pretty fingers.

"I love your fingers", She said.

"Thanks", He said dryly.

She didn't say anything and was feeling hot all of a sudden. It was as if he was not enjoying her presence anymore so she stood up but he grabbed her hand.

"Where are you going?", He looked at her.

"Are you indirectly telling me 'good night?'", He asked.

"You're busy, Rhys", Bianca said softly.

"I never said you were disturbing. I like that you're here", He said and Bianca felt her cheeks hot.

"Are you drunk?", She touched his cheeks.

"Who visited you today?", He asked.

"Guess"

"I don't want to"

"Axel", She said honestly.

"What did he say?", He asked.

"Nothing important", She replied.

"I don't want you working, Bianca", Rhys said and took her fingers in hers.

"Why can't I work? How will I make money to feed us?", She asked.

"That's why I'm working", Rhys said.

Bianca blushed and couldn't look him in the eye for a second.

"You're such a big flirt", She said.

"Why don't you want to be with me?", Rhys asked.

Rhys began to stroke her face fondly with his fingers while removing her baby tendrils from hiding her beautiful face.

"You didn't come to see me", Bianca pouted.

"I came but he was there", Rhys said.

"You could have come back", Bianca said.

"Yeah but I was jealous", He said and she laughed.

"Really?", She asked.

"He tried to kiss you", He said and she widened her eyes.

"But he didn't", Bianca said sharply.

Rhys didn't say anything but watched her. "I saw you playing with Rafael too", Bianca said.

"Oh", Rhys said.

"Don't you want our interaction?", Bianca heard him ask but she was quick to answer him.

"Of course not"

"I mean I want it", She said. "Since you were there then, you must have heard what I want in a man I'd love to have a relationship with", She concluded.

"That isn't a problem. You should know I'll be anything you want me to be for you and Rafael", Rhys said and hugged her tightly.

Bianca stroked his back and his hair. "You smell nice", He said and she chuckled.

"He said that too", Bianca said and bit her lips after saying that. She realized that she shouldn't have said that to him.

"But he didn't get to stay like this with you, baby", Rhys said and stayed closer to her. He loved her scent and body. He loved everything about her.

"Can I kiss you?", He asked.

"No", She replied.

"You're wicked", He replied and she chuckled. He closed his eyes and felt her lips on his for a while before she drew back. He smiled and kissed her back with joy in his heart.

"I love you", He said as he claimed her lips satisfactory.
