How To Build A Society

POV Rio

I had been in the trial for a few months now, and I was almost finished fixing the planet's rotation. It was a nasty problem to fix, as I found out that a nasty magic parasite was causing it. The thing was somewhat sentient and was a pain in the rear to get rid of. Killing it would be easy, but doing so without causing massive damage to the planet was tricky. But with some magic and technology, I managed.

Rio: "Violet, turn on the machine."

She nods and presses a button, the machine starts generating energy, and I then siphon the energy and slowly fuse it into the planet's core. This was an extremely delicate process, which was why we were doing it on the dark side of the planet. Since the machine hive mind was erased, YoRHa had begun searches across the light side, and slowly but surely, they were now scouting the dark side. But it would take them too long to get to our position if they even detected our operation.

Several Hours Later...

By the time I had fused the last bit of energy into the core, the planet had already started to rotate, slowly at first, but by the time I was done, it was moving at the normal speed for Earth. I was a bit tired but not much, as while the work was delicate, it wasn't exhausting. Once that was all done, the next part was much easier. I made a machine similar to the one I made on Remnant, but this one was made to amplify the range of the Jewel of Life. It did come with a slight downside of taking longer to affect the entire planet, but it should give Earth the needed jumpstart to get the ecosystems working again.

'This should only take a week at most, since it really needs only to affect one side of the planet. The light side is fairly habitable. Maybe it needs a boost here and there, but for the most part, it should be fine. But now comes the trickier part.'

I had Shizu and Maxon infiltrate the android community and try to win them over slowly. The results so far had been okay. I wasn't trying to convince them to leave with me. Instead, I was trying to convince them to become humans. The last task I had to complete was to make a new civilization. The robots were convinced right away since they were obsessed with becoming alive, so what I offered was all they wanted. Except the kingdom. They were wiped out by YoRHa. The village was left alone because I hid it behind a magic barrier.

'YoRha will be difficult to convince. But they are at least low in numbers. They only have 1000 unique Androids. Perhaps I can convince them by offering them some humans to serve. Or I should just spill the beans about humanity going extinct.'

No matter what I decided, I had all the time to convince them. And with only setting up a society left, I could focus on training.

'What gravity was I on again? 380? Yeah, that sounds about right.'

Several Months Later...

POV Violet

Rapid flashes and impacts were heard as Rio was fighting against 3 Clones. I couldn't assist in the training as I was not strong enough. And my programming indicated that I did not need to assist in this task.

Rio: "KAMEHAMEHA!!"

Rio fires a massive Ki blast, and one of the Clones is destroyed. The other two manage to dodge the attack and go into close combat.

Both: "Kaio-Ken Times 3!"

My sensors were barely able to keep up with the speed of the attacks. I analyzed everything and integrated it into my combat algorithms. Rio managed to destroy one clone with a strike to the head. The remaining clone grabbed Rio and screamed before exploding.

Clone: "Bomb Voyage!"

I had to retreat a large distance as the explosion would have destroyed me otherwise. I calculated a 2% chance that Rio was severely injured by that attack, so I prepared to administer aid. When the smoke cleared and Rio was standing there with only some hair out of place and a slight frown. He was in his Alicorn form when fighting, as he stated that it was the easiest form to fight in. I approached with a towel and offered it, as that was what I calculated as the proper response.

Rio: "Thank you, Violet. Room turn gravity to 1."

The gravity is reduced from 2000 to 1, and I quickly adjust to the increase in movement speed.

Violet: "You are welcome, sir. I have a report from Maxon."

I hold the report and wait for him to ask for it. He takes the datapad and reads the report. He smiles.

Rio: "It seems they have completed their task, and the new human society is fully set up. But YoRHa is requesting a meeting with me."

I just stand still and wait for orders.

Rio: "Let's go get ready. With any luck, I can get some more citizens."

I follow, but I stop at the bathroom door as I had learned that it is inappropriate to help human males in the bathroom. And Rio prefers I do not follow him there, even though my programming states that 22% of assassinations occur in bathrooms or bedrooms. But I was asked to wait outside. It was told it wasn't an order. But that did not compute, so I labeled requests as not orders.

POV Rio

I left the bathroom after I was done getting cleaned up. I was thinking back on the last battle and what I messed up.

'I have made a lot of progress, but I shouldn't have been caught by that last attack.'

It turns out that when everyone can see 10 seconds into the future, it makes it very difficult to defeat each other. But I knew that if I used Ultra Instinct, I could have dodged the last attack easily. The issue was that I could only use it for just under 40 seconds per hour. I put aside those thoughts and focused on the coming meeting with Commander White of YoRHa.

'I feel bad for them. They got a really awful lot in life. They were sentient but couldn't fully explore that sentience as they had a mission.'

They were like the Clones. The mission never ended. They were stuck in an unending nightmare trying to save a world that was doomed. But I hoped I could give them an alternative. I had already checked this universe, and the aliens that attacked were all that this universe had when it came to sentient life. I also had placed a barrier to prevent another time travel and inter-universe hopping mess. It should keep out all but the most powerful beings, but those would be naturally rejected anyway. We arrive at the meeting place, and I take a seat and wait for Commander White.

White: "Thank you for meeting me."

Rio: "No problem. Now, what would you like to know?"

White: "We heard the proposal of Maxon. Is it true? Can you take us away from this planet?"

Rio: "Of course I can. The real question is if you want to."

White: "We have completed our task. The 14th Machine War has ended, and it will never start again. But humanity is gone. YoRHa has no purpose anymore. And even if you create more humans, it won't be the same. Our programming indicated that once we completed our task, we were free to do as we wished unless specifically stated otherwise by any members of the Human Council. But they are gone, so I am now the leader of YoRHa."

Rio: "If you come with what will the others do?"

White: "They will follow me most likely. Many are interested in this planet, but they know that they will eventually run out of things to do here. And when that happens, they will be trapped."

Rio: "Will you allow former members to come with or will there be issues if I bring some?"

White: "They can come. I have already rescinded any hunt orders on them. The war is over. They deserted but didn't betray us. So I have no qualms with them."

Rio: "The only other thing would be that you would all need to sign a contract. A magically binding one. And lastly, we won't leave for another 2 and a half years."

White: "Please send a copy of the contract for me to read."

I do so, and she quickly reads it. Once she is done, she doesn't hesitate and signs it right away. Her guards do the same. I leave 1100 contracts and tell them to contact Maxon if they need more. Then I get up and head back to the training chamber. All that was left was to continue the training and then leave the trial. Shizu and Maxon were fully capable of setting up a new society and even making sure it was stable. The only thing I might have to do is make an Archangel to watch over the new civilization or some other kind of guardian.

Authors Note:

I figured that YoRHa would join Rio as he completed their mission, and from what I remember, they weren't super keen on continuing the doomed mission, but they didn't really have much of a choice. As for the new society, Rio is using the Pearl of Transformation to make the robots and androids human. Or actually, an improved human species. Until next time, Ciao.
