Arielle's POV.
We slept late last night— Riley and I, because we talked and played games until late last night.
Riley didn't let me off her sight after the incident, she shadowed me, even when I was taking a bathroom break. Even at the dinner and I couldn't blame her. It was just Riley's nature to care that much for me.
In the morning, I wasn't even surprised to see myself in Riley's arms in bed.
"So this is what kept me warm, huh?" I muttered aloud and sat up. With the amount of sunlight blaring down the window, I could already tell that it was late morning.
Memories of our laughter still echoed in my head. I couldn't help but smile as I looked down at Riley's face.
Her ginger hair, a shade duller than my own red hair, was scattered along the bed. She had forgotten to tie it up. She would grumble when she woke up, trying to untangle her hair.
