Arielle's POV.

I was devastated as I stared at the four walls of the room.

The room felt smaller, now that Riley wasn't there. It felt cramped, like the walls were coming closer, threatening to squeeze me between its rough surfaces and my guilt wasn't making it any better.

I couldn't remain here, in the comfort of my room while Riley suffered. I have tried going after them earlier but they had simply vanished.

My guilt had led me to the room hoping her scent still hanging in the room would give me the peace I craved but I was wrong.

I owed my life to Riley. I couldn't let her suffer like this.

Quickly, I wiped my face clean and rushed out. I stopped one of the patrolling guards and joined my hands together.

"Please, I don't know what they have told you but… I really need to see my friend. I need to speak with Riley… Where is Riley being held?"
