Someone handed me a snack. When I turned to see who it was, I found Micah standing there, her usual warm smile lighting up her face.
"Thought you might need a pick-me-up," she said, holding out a neatly wrapped sandwich.
I blinked, caught off guard. "Oh, uh, thanks," I said, taking the snack. "You didn't have to, though."
Micah shrugged, her smile not fading. "It's no big deal. I noticed that you're the kind of person who forgets to eat when you're focused. Figured I'd help out."
I smiled, feeling a bit flustered by how attentive she was. "I didn't know you paid that much attention to me," I teased, trying to keep my tone light.
Micah chuckled softly, her expression warm. "Only the good things, don't worry. You're special to me, Jenna. Of course I'd notice the little things. How else can I take care of you?"
