<p>Even though I approved and met Micah, I still couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. It wasn't anything obvious. Micah was kind, supportive, and she clearly cared about Scarlet. But deep inside, a nagging thought kept bothering me, like a small voice whispering that I shouldn't trust her completely. </p>

<p>Maybe it's just me being overly protective. Scarlet and I had been through so much together, and I always felt this unspoken responsibility to look out for her. She might be strong and independent, but she'd never been in a serious relationship before. This wasn't just some fleeting crush or puppy love that would fade after a few weeks.
