Blue’s thoughts worsened

Blue tried to evade her thoughts from the pending thoughts ahead of her. Her mind drifting to Jack and the threats she received recently.

"I have an event to plan for. Blue focus!" She said to herself, snapping out of her jumbled thoughts.

She sat down to work quickly arranging the events items and props; the settings and the décor had to be perfect for the big day.

She worked on her iPad, humming quietly as a means of distraction. She knew other team members must be excited about the good deal they have gained and must be working by now.

Her mind suddenly drifted to Jack, what would he be doing at the moment? She wondered.

The images of their romantic scenes played in her head. A blush crept to her cheeks as she reminisced on the intimate moments she had with him.

The amazing time together made her paint a beautiful image of herself with Jack and Ivy as a one beautiful family.

She shook her head vigorously.

"No, he is married" she reminded herself over and over again. Even with the connection and chemistry she shared with him, she was already threatened.

Fear and uncertainty was beginning to take over her as she thought of Jack and the vile Myrtle, his wife.

A reminder popped up on her screen for her to pick up Ivy, bringing her out of her reverie. She hurried through the door to the car, she was almost late.

As she drove, she felt someone following her. After peering into the mirror and seeing no one, she waved it off and concluded she was paranoid. She continued driving but she still had that weird feeling of being followed.

She applied pressure on the brakes and got to Ivy's school. She didn't wait to greet her daughter's teacher, she just grabbed her daughter and ran to the car.

Her blood pulsated, her heart thumping loudly in her chest, her head rising like it was being filled with lots of fluid.

She didn't want to take any chance, she had to get herself and her daughter to safety before thinking of the next line of action.

She gripped the steering wheel tightly, holding on to it like her life depended on it.

"Mommy, you couldn't wait to see Miss Abby. She said she wanted to see you" Ivy said sweetly, her voice seemed to calm Blue for a moment.

"I'm sorry baby. I'm in a rush, I'll see her some other time okay?"

"Okay mommy. Is that why you're driving so fast?"

"Yes baby" blue responded absent mindedly. She still felt she was being followed, she didn't know who to call for help at the moment.

Sally? She'd think I'm being paranoid, maybe I am.

911? Nah! That's the worst, I don't have any valid complaints.

Jack? What if his with his wife? The thought of another woman cradled in Jack's arm sent tears to her eyes. She fought between jealousy and paranoia and she blinded back reminding herself of the issue.

'Blue you have to be focused. Your life might be in danger' she muttered repeatedly to herself.

"Ivy, how was school today?" she asked her daughter trying to lighten the mood and tension she felt within herself.

"I got lots of stars today mommy!" Ivy blurted out with exhilaration, narrating all the event that had transpired at school. "Miss Abby says I'm a good girl, but I got a lot of assignments to do" she whined at the end.

Blue chuckled lightly, by now, she had packed in her garage and decided to stall to make sure no one tracked her down to her apartment.

She turned to her daughter softly "well good girls always complete their assignments beautifully. So that is what you are doing to do"

"Then I can play! Yay!" Ivy jumped up on the seats excitedly .

"yes baby. Common let's go inside" she and Ivy quickly ran into the house.

Meanwhile at the other side of the road in a hidden location, a black mini van was packed.

"We have confirmed her location boss" the voice in the vehicle said

"Good. Confirm her work place and go into the next line of action immediately"

"Yes boss"

Only when they were inside the house that Blue was able to breathe and calm down herself. She would have evaded them smartly, but then, she had no one's home to run to. Aside Sally, she couldn't trust any of her family Members with her daughter's identity.

At the end, she finally decided to tell Sally about it.

"Hello Cousin, what's up?" Sally chimed

"can we meet up?" Blue said wearily at the other end of the line.

"I hope everything is okay"

"its quite urgent so I need you now"

"Alright, I'll is there in a sec"

Blue had the rest of the day think about what just transpired earlier, but her mind went down memory lane. Her childhood marred with pain.
