Only Escape Option[1]

Atlas ran backto the table and grabbed whatever supplies he had gathered and shoved them into his pockets.

He closed the door behind him, looking at the landlord's corpse and locked the door, throwing the keys down the stairs.

'Hope your body makes it-!'

Atlas heard the screams of the goblins just below him, and with a quick turn, he rushed up the stairs.

"Kkeeahhhhhkkk!"

The goblins were quickly gaining on him, but they looked... frantic.

'Are they also running? If so from what?'

But when they saw Atlas their gazes soon turned vicious.

"Or Maybe not"

He sprinted up all the floors untill he reached the roof.

"Dammit! Should've taken keys for the rooftop"

He closed the door, regreting his inability to lock it.

He looked around and saw nothing to block the door with.

He walked up to the edges, lined with tall, fences made of metal wiring.

"Any... any escape route..."

No building was high or even close enough to this one.

'Dammit... Am I really going down like this!?"

He continued to quickly round the perimeter of the rooftop, only to hear the sounds of the goblins nearing the door.

"A shit..."

He looked at the door. It was surrounded by thin walls that formed a box.

'I hope this works...'

...

The goblins quickly reached the door, and attempted to break through, but it was surprisingly sturdy.

They were too short to reach the handle; not that they knew what it did anyways.

But it was only a short struggle. Their thirst for the human they saw and the dread they felt pushed them to thrash the door in under a minute!

Most failed to see him at first, but after making their way out they saw next to the structure they came from, jumping around?

"Ughhh!"

They all rushed to him, but the human noticing them gave even more effort in his jumping.

"Uuaaghhhh!"

He pushed off the ground, using the gaps in the fence as a foothold and grabbing the two 'walls' for support.

He then pulled himself up, throwing his body over on top of the structure they came out of.

"Keehk!?"

The goblins were surprised at the humans monuveurs; never in a million years could they even imagine doing that!

"Hope this earns me something!"

The human took out a bottle with a glowing top from his stuffed pockets.

"Enjoy this you ogre fetus' !" The human then proceeded to turn around and dissapear.

A "Leap of Faaaaaiiitthhhhh" resounded for miles soon after.

The bottle he threw at the goblins was quite pretty; maybe he was trying to distract them with it? Or bribe them-

An orange glow exploded out after the delicate sound of glass breaking and the horrid screams of goblins.

-or maybe not.

...

A man with a pretty and effeminate face skulked through the alley ways.

His torn clothes revealed his white, lean muscles and abs alongside bandages and red coloring.

"If he doesn't survive that then he must be an imposter!"

Barley laughed at himself.

'Glad I locked the window or it would've been to easy for him'

He opened his status and inspected it properly for the first time.

He looked at the reflection of himself on the window to his side.

'Alignment Detection'

Above his head the words 'Chaotic good' appeared.

'So much for being a good guy... I even trapped my "friend" in a building full of monsters'

He thought back to when he used this skill on Atlas. The results didn't seem normal.

"He always was weird now wasn't he? He felt like the most lively person at times, but also the most lifeless"

He decided not to think about it anymore. He already knew everybody in the apartment had special circumstances; him too.

Barley looked down at his clenched up hand and opened his palms, revealing a small white tablet.

"Now... let's find out what this really is"

Barley hoped his friends were still alive. They most likely were.

He swiped his black hair, uncovering his magnetic brown eyes.

"I don't know how much Atlas knows about this, but knowing him, he might have some advice for me..."

He soon felt troubled.

"Wait... Will he even help me after what I did?"

Barley looked back at the apartment, only for his gaze to be met with the rooftop of fire.

"Yeah... I don't think I should even show myself to that madman if I wanna live"

A shudder went up his spine.

"It's fine... this is revenge for pushing me into that shark tank!"

Barley put the tablet back into his pockets and took out a small blade from somewhere.

He paced his movements, each footsteps smooth and soundless.

He looked around the streets after reaching the end of the alleyway.

"No hostiles detected"

He smiled to himself.
