No Hard Feelings[2]

Justin walked over to a soldier that was crouched over, clearly in deep thought.

Justin's nape, where a tatoo was etched in green, started glowing.

The soldier turned around, "Justin? What're you doing here? Aren't you hurt?"

"Oh. I just wanted to help search for Atlas"

The soldier looked surprised but soon he smiled.

"Great to see you worried for him! A friend of the captain is a friend of ours!"

He turned back around and pointed to some foot prints.

"You were also part if the MH Division right? Guess it makes sense that you feel a sense of responsibility"

Justin's smile darkened at his words; he was itching to send him down.

"Remember when we were all new trainees? Man, those days were hell! But then Cap came and turned it all for the better!"

'Just the thought of those days makes me want to puke!'

"Hah! Don't get me going Patrick! They were the worst!"

"Man, thinking about those days makes me nostalgic. I really missed my family when I first got here, but you were the one who helped me!"

Justin's hand slowly started glowing green too.

"Anyways, I think these footprints are Atlas'. But I'm not too sure where they lead. They point in that direction but I can't find anymore there"

Patrick was too engrossed talking about the intricacies of footprints that he didn't notice a black hole appearing below his feet untill it was too late.

"...and that's how I figured out tha-! Aaaaah-"

The scream was cut short as Patrick's figure dissapeared into the darkness.

'Another old friend to the afterlife'

...

Ragnar paced around the clearing, his arms folded, one hand on his chin.

He had just searching but didn't find anything.

That normally wouldn't have raised any questions, but the others also hadn't found anything.

Actually, the others weren't even there.

He saw only a few while searching and when making his way back to the clearing he saw no one. Not a soul met his line of sight

'Maybe something happened? No, that can't be! They would've made atleast some noise'

As Ragnar was contemplating the rubble to his right made some noise. He quickly turned, aiming his gun.

"It's me captain! It's Michael!"

Michael waded his way through the rubble, two more people behind.

"Michael?"

The sight of a familiar face was relieving to him.

'If Michael survived, then the others are most likely still alive'

Ragnar laughed at himself. Why had he been worrying?

Ragnar waved at them.

"Who is with you cinnamon roll?"

Michael's face visible darkened at Ragnar's words.

"Why do you have to call me that..." It was barely audible.

"It's James! And Mikey"

Another soldier waved waved back at Ragnar, announcing their names.

"Oh, glad to see you're ok sparkles!"

Ragnar grinned to himself as James grimaced at his words.

"Did you guys see the others?"

The three soldiers all shook their heads.

Ragnar furrowed his brows 'where did they all go?'

The rubble behind moved as a voice called out.

"Captain! Help!"

Ragnar looked back, seeing Justin limping towards.

He immediately rushed towards Justin, the other three also quickly following behind.

"What happened Justin!?"

Ragnar was helping Justin stand up properly when he noticed his the glow in his nape.

"What's that green glow on your neck?"

Justin's face paled.

"What do you mean green glow!? Is there something there?"

Ragnar's felt a sense of urgency come up from within his very soul at that moment.

An urgency which he had been suppressing since even before the beginning of all this chaos.

"What happened!? Did something attack you? Was it a goblin? Other people?"

"I think I can answer that, Ragnar!"

Ragnar looked to where the familiar voice was coming from.

"Atlas!? Where were you!"

Atlas smirked and pointed at Michael.

"I'll tell you later. But what's important is that Justin over there is a traitor!"

Justin's face soon turned grave and paled for real.

"W-what!? Ofcourse I'm not a traitor!"

Ragnar looked at both of them, confused.

"Says the traitor! Now that's what a traitor would say!"

He slid down the rubble and jumped off, landing in front of them.

"What do you mean that's what a traitor would say!? I'm no traitor and that's final!"

Justin turned to Ragnar and urged him.

"Come on Cap! Back me up here!"

Ragnar raised his finger and tried to object Atlas.

"Ugh, Atlas, I don't think he's a traitor. He eve-"

"Blah blah blah who cares, right Michael?"

He turned to Michael who had James and Mikey behind him.

"I-uhm, ugh"

Atlas turned back at Justin.

"See? It's 3-to-2, I win! You're a traitor from here on!"

The while situation was so infuriating that Justin got too caught up in the nonsense.

"What do you mean 3!? Who is the third person here, sparkles!?"

Atlas raised an eyebrow at his words.

He held out one finger,

"Ofcourse, it's simple maths you traitor. You are one and Ragnar is one, so that's two"

And then another from the same finger.

"Now, Michael is one" on the other hand he extended a finger. "And since I'm me, I'm two so that's three!" He continued extended two more fingers.

He then mashed both hands together made explosion noises.

"Ahhh! Shut up! I'm no traitor!"

"Than what about 'SOG?'

At Atlas' words Justin fell silent.

Atlas soon smirked and looked at Ragnar.

"Told ya I'm right"

Ragnar looked at Justin with unflinching eyes

"Is he telling the truth? Did you betray us? What is this 'SOG'?"

Justin cracked a smile and looked up at the air, laughing maniacally.

"HAHAHAH! Knowing now won't do you any good! It's too late! They're all dead! Patrick, Andrew, Philips... all dead! HAHA!"

A black hole soon appeared underneath as Ragnar fell through without another word.

"Fuck! Michael and friends, escape now!"

Justin laughed more and pointed his hand at Michael.

"It's too late!"

Black holes appeared beneath all three, taking them down to the dungeon.

"Now, let's continue where we left off"

Atlas' face seemingly darkened and contorted at Justin's words.

Atlas muttered, barely loud enough for Justin to hear and make him grin.

"This is not going according to plan"

Except, strangely, Atlas was still smiling
