Justin was cyrrebtky being treated with the limited medical supplies the army had.
"He's gonna make it, but I'm not sure about the bullet wound"
A girl with long, slightly gray hair tied into a ponytail, black eyes and glasses spoke.
"What do you mean?"
Ragnar questioned Julie.
Julie was the only medic they had with them, and she was a damn good one.
She passed her medical courses with flying colors and her practical records were impressive.
"The gunshot doesn't seem... accidental" Julie said suspiciously.
"What is that suppose to mean? Are you saying he was shot by someone and hid the fact from us?" Ragnar crossed his arms; how could she be suspicious of her own friends during times when one could only lean on close ones?
Julie hesitated slightly but spoke with a professional tone.
"I'm not saying that, but the way the bullet entered his body isn't possible if it was a misfire or something similar"
"His gun is also missing and he has multiple injuries that suggest combat with another human"
Ragnar furrowed his brows but didn't get angry.
"He has been with us for years. He wouldn't lie just like that, especially when we are all stretched thin with all the work"
Ragnar dismissed Julie and left the room.
Julie looked down and sighed, disappointed.
"I guess the stress is getting to him. He probably doesn't show it to the others though"
She didn't notice that Justin's fingers twitched slightly, his mouth also curling slightly.
...
"This is the only place I think he might be"
Michael lead the others to the same house he had found with Atlas just a few hours ago.
It's ominous aura hadn't diminished even with the death of the Abomination.
"You're right, this place seems... off"
They tried opening the door but it was locked.
One of them tried kicking ut down but it was supernaturally sturdy.
"Alright guys, we strike together"
They all were holding onto a fallen electrical pole.
"One... two... three!"
The moment they all swung it forward the door clicked and opened.
"What's all this commotion abou-!"
Atlas was almost hit; barely dodging it in time.
"Oh! We finally found you!"
They all dropped the pole and started laughing.
"Haha! Nice reflexes, you almost got hit"
"Wish I was as fast as you"
"You ever tried playing CSGO?"
Michael was in the back, flabbergasted at their reactions; they almost hit Atlas with an electric pole!
"Oh, yeah I have played it! And yeah these reflexes are sweet"
Atlas continued naturally, seemingly unfazed by the fact that he was almost hit by them.
"Anyways, wanna play a prank on Ragnar and all?"
The others were taken aback.
"Now? I don't think now is the best time for pranks"
Michael also agreed, "Yeah, and it's getting pretty late. W-we should head back"
Atlas simply responded with a smile.
"It's fine, trust me. You just gotta..."
The others eventually agreed, not seeing much harm in it. Maybe Atlas had a purpose doing this? They could atleast help if it wasn't anything harmful.
As they were heading back Atlas hooked his arm around Michael, messing his hair with his other hand.
"A-ah! Can you stop?"
Atlas chuckled at him.
"Thanks for bringing them here. It was the best thing that could've realistically happened right now"
"What do you mean?" Michael asked confused.
"Nothing nothing. You'll see soon"
Atlas waved goodbye to the rest and left the group.
...
"Cap! Bad news! Your friend hasn't come back!"
A man barged in and shouted ar the top of his lungs.
Some more people also started coming in, all seemingly distraught.
Ragnar's head appeared from the first floor and he shouted.
"What do you mean he hasn't come back!?"
The man who previously spoke came forward.
"He mysteriously dissapeared and he hasn't come back! We don't have a clue where he went"
Ragnar grunted and muttered some words under his breath.
"Is he messing with me or did something actually happen to water hose?"
While all of this was happening Justin walked out of a nearby room in the ground floor.
'Haha! Now that Atlas is dead, I just have to send them there one by one to slowly kill them all off'
Justin slowly limped towards the group Atlas led.
"I-I think I know where he is"
Some of them showed surprised expressions while some looked suspicious for a moment.
Michael was still anxious.
"It's the place where I was attacked... lost my gun... and got these wounds"
Justin showed off the bandages around his body.
"Then let's go! Now!"
Ragnar had reached the ground floor by then.
As they all left, following Justin, Michael was the only one hesitating.
He eventually decided to follow.
Now the only ones left were the guards who were anxious at what they had just witnessed.
And Julie, who watching everything from the dark with a sharpened gaze.
...
In a familiar clearing surrounded by rubble a group of people, lead by Ragnar and Justin, reached the centre.
"Are you sure this is the place?"
Ragnar looked to his side and questioned Justin.
"Yeah, I'm sure of it!"
"Alright then. Everyone, spread out!"
As everyone spread out to search for Atlas, only Ragnar and Justin were left in the small clearing.
Justin attempted to sneakily escape from Ragnar's supervision but was immediately caught.
"Where are you going?"
Justin hastily spoke "I also want to search for Atlas"
Ragnar raised his eyebrow slightly.
"Why? Aren't you injured? You should be resting right now anyways. Coming here must've been tiring enough"
Justin sighed and straightened his, speaking once again.
"Even though I only net him today, he is a comrade! I could atleast help search for him!"
Hearing his words Ragnar laughed, slapping his tigh.
"Haha! I see you're finally understanding comradarie! Alright then"
As Justin was leaving Ragnar spoke once more.
"Julie was suspicious of you actually. She told me that your wounds were unnatural"
Justin laughed and walk away, his back turned to Ragnar.
"Is that so?"
And with a cold glint I'm his eyes he clambered over the rubble.
