Atlas rolled away from the Abomination again.
'This is like the tenth time now!'
He quickly hid behind and rock and focused his gaze on the arms of the Abomination.
'It's getting weaker and weaker... it seems it doesn't have regeneration powers'
He turned back and slumped down, tired.
'I'm getting tired... physically and mentally'
He looked down at his stomach.
'I'm also getting hungry and thirsty. Damnit, I should've taken water or food in my satchel'
He looked over at the Abomination and saw it going back to the middle.
'It uses its sound wave ability once every 3 minutes...'
His plan was to wait for it to use it.
He opened his satchel and took out a mushroom, eating it.
'These things are good snacks... Even slightly helps with the exhaustion'
He prepared himself, and waited; waited to start his risky test.
...
Justin reached his group as the sun was going down.
"Hey guys! I'm sorry... I got attacked by some goblins..."
He limped over to them and pretended to fall from exhaustion.
"Justin! Shit, we gotta get back quickly and treat him!" A soldier exclaimed.
"What about the others?"
Another soldier asked, concerned about Atlas' group.
"It's fine! They should be fine. We can't let someone die when we only have one few soldiers left!"
The soldier nodded his head, understanding; Atlas' group wouldn't go down so easily anyways.
As Justin was taken away to the Mall, he turned back towards the clearing.
'Heh'
...
A sound wave rumbled through the air of the Boss Room.
The abomination turned to its left where it sensed life; a pesky insect that kept running away.
He rushed towards it and saw it behind the damaged boulder.
"Gahhhgggg!"
The abomination smashed down with full force, destroying the rock.
Dust was spread in the air and rock debris were sent flying everywhere.
The abomination slowly waved its hands around, attempting to hit the insect but it was for naught.
And as the dist cleared, a gunshot resounded from the Abomination's side.
A sharp sound rang from its back; the metal piece had been hit.
"Gaaahhhhh!!"
It screamed, bending forward in a frenzy from the pain.
"Heh, so this was your weakness?"
Atlas had Justin's gun pointed at it, preparing to use the remaining bullets.
The Abomination didn't question why the insect wasn't running away and rushed in, passed off.
Bang!*
Gunshots and flesh tearing could be heard.
The bullets dug into the surprisingly weak flesh of the Abomination, and the one's that scraped its flesh tore it on their way.
"Gahhhh!!"
It swung both of its arms, attempting attempting squish Atlas.
"Not... today!"
Atlas slid underneath it, digging his fingers into the Abomination.
'Hmm, firm in the outside, soft on the inside'
He pulled himself up in one go, reaching the top of the Abomination.
The Abomination stared shaking around violently but Atlas' incredible Dexterity allowed him to keep balance.
He grabbed ahold of the metal piece and prepared himself, bending his legs and positioning his body.
'One, two, three!'
He used his whole body at once to pull the thing out of the Abomination's body.
"Haaap!"
Atlas fell backwards due to the force of pulling it out and the Abomination, the metal peice in his hand.
He quickly attempted a back flip midair, landing on one knee.
"Hahhh... hah" He started panting due to exhaustion but continued to focus his mind on the battle.
He looked down at his hand to check what the metal thing actually was.
It was long, slightly curved, and heavy.
The head of a pickaxe.
The Abomination groaned in pain as the hole on its back spewed out blood.
Atlas silently went over with an impassive expression.
Thoughts went around in the back of his mind but he ignored them.
He lifted the pickaxe head and looked down at the weakened Abomination.
"I will come back for you"
He plunged it deep into the Abomination's head, killing it with a squishy, disgusting splattering sound.
Atlas looked over to his side where their were a bunch of notifications.
[Cleared dungeon 'Malice of the Buried]
[500 points have been awarded for killing Tutorial Boss-Monster 'Abomination']
[Rewards for quest 'Abomination of Malice' has been issued]
[Attribute of your weapon has materialized]
Atlas started wondering to himself at these notifications.
'Why did that one notification appear in front of me?'
Atlas quickly walked past the Abomination's body, pickaxe head in hand.
He went over to the Safe Room.
He grabbed the handle and turned, opening the door and entering.
'Now... its time to reap'. Atlas subconsciously smiled.
He bent down and opened the chest.
A green light shined and notifications appeared.
[Congratulations on being the first person in the city to clear a dungeon!]
[Congratulations on being the second person in the country to clear a dungeon]
[Congratulations on being the fourth person in the region to clear a dungeon!]
[Congratulations on being the nineth person in the world to clear a dungeon!]
[Tutorial Chest No.2 reward is being increased by (0.5+0.5+1+1)]
The green light soon switched to a blue, then a purple and then finally a golden.
[Special requirement weren't met, reward is being reduced by (1)]
The light changed back to a purple and Atlas' face soured slightly.
'It's fine. A reward is better than no reward'
The light condensed into a vague silhouette of an item.
It swirled and swirled untill it became an orb.
[Skill Orb- A Death Skill(Epic)]
Atlas tilted his head, an unknowing "Huh?" Escaping his mouth.
'That's a... nice name'
He could guess it's function, but the name really... piqued his interest.
He continued on to the description.
-Unlike a normal skill orb, 3 options will be given to you when you use it. You may choose one of the 3 epic skills that suite you.
Atlas nodded his head, understanding the meaning now.
'So that's what the name meant!'
He had not expected that.
He would've used it on the spot, but the words 'suite you' made him hesitate.
"If I'm in a desperate situation, will the skills change?" He could keep himself alive; he has always been doing that.
But will he be able to leave victorious? He wasn't sure now that some sort of apocalypse had started in the world.
'I'm not sure if this is the correct decision, but I'll hold off on using it for now'
He then looked down at his gun, it's information quickly appearing.

Atlas tapped on its attribute.

Atlas slowly nodded his head, with a duck-like expression, similar to when he checked the description of the Skill Orb.
"Damn is this thing powerful now!"
He wasn't planning on naming it yet. Maybe when he gets a good name for it.
He decided to check the pickaxe head to while he was at it.

He then checked the quest rewards for the dungeon.
[Rewards: 500 points, 2 Attribute point]
Atlas also wasn't quite sure of the value of either points or attribute points but he felt this was pretty good.
A new section appeared in his status.
[Attribute points]: 2
He decided to deal with it later as he looked at the end of the room.
"Time to kill that motherfucker"
