Justin's plan was to bring all the soldiers to the clearing and create a hole to the boss room.
His skill [Dungeon Warmhole], granted to him by 'Him', allowed him to create a portal that safely brought an individual or group to a dungeon without having to use the entrance for said dungeon.
It was a relatively niche skill, but when set up with the information he got about the boss monster in the target dungeon, he instantly understood the goal.
Slowly strengthening the Abomination to wreak havoc was the intended plan by 'him'; weakening the Army was actually a byproduct if the plan planned by Justin.
The only way he could transport them directly to the Boss Room was if he had entered it before, which he could luckily do with the items he got from 'Him'.
It was a perfect, fool-proof plan, but since he was anxious of any accidents he went to scout the location of his trap.
He didn't expect Atlas to be there, nor did he expect to nearly be killed by him.
He was also almost fooled by his flawless body control, appearing to be telling the truth.
'Hah... I just have to get back and tell them I shot myself by accident. It'll be embarrassing, but who cares!? They'll be dead soon'
And so Justin slowly limped towards the Mall with a bruised and battered body, bleeding from his shoulder.
...
Meanwhile, Atlas was in the Boss Room.
And having realized Justin's plan, a sense of urgency overtook him.
'I have to come up with a strategy somehow!'
Atlas skulked around after the abomination was on the opposite side of the Boss Room.
'Best to play it safe here'
He soon came across some blue, slightly glowing mushrooms.
'Maybe these are special? I mean, they're in a boss room'
He picked it up carefully, using his jacket's sleeves as a form of protection.
[Spirit Mushroom(Common)]
-Grows in a areas richer in spirit energy than normal. Haa properties of calming ones spirit and mind if taken raw.
'It might be helpful to eat this, but it's only a common item, how much of a difference would it really make?'
'It may even have some side effects. My only guide is the appraisal abilities from level 1 system clearance...'
Atlas quickly came to a decision, bringing it up to his mouth.
'Might as well bite the bullet! I can deal with any side effects when I survive, and if I don't... I can atleast treat the abomination to a cleaner spirit!'
He started chomping down on the blue stuff.
It was slightly moist in the inside and tough all around.
'Hmm, not that bad... slightly tangy actually'
He felt a slow cooling sensation, but nothing much after that.
'Well, atleast there are no side effects... yet anyways'
He didn't know what would happen if he ate more at once, and he wasn't going to risk it; one was enough of a risk for him.
'Now that I think about it... No, decisions are circumstantial, no need to criticize myself in the middle of the crisis'
He decided to stop with any unnecessary thoughts.
'But might as well take as much with me as I can, hehe'
After placing them in his satchel, he looked over at the Abomination.
It was still over at the otherside, randomly swinging its arms.
'Man that thing dumb'
It seriously looked like some low effort boss from a video game to Atlas.
Untill It raised its hands and roared, a shock wave spreading throughout the whole place again.
'No wait, dont tell me'
The abomination turned to Atlas, and with an angry growl it charged at him with incredible speed.
'Shit!'
Atlas got up and dashed towards another boulder, expecting to hear the sounds of rocks breaking.
'Why can I hear...?'
He turned back towards the heavy footsteps, only to see it chasing after him.
"I thought you can't see me you motherfucker!"
Atlas went behind a boulder, waiting for it to reach the boulder.
It quickly reached and brought its hands down at the boulder, aiming to destroy with it and Atlas.
"Hup!"
Atlas jumped out of the way just on time, with debris flying everywhere and dust being kicked up in the air.
He turned around, aiming the gun he stole from Justin and firing a few shots at the Abomination.
Atlas chose to move as quietly as he could, slowly making his way to another boulder.
Though, not forgetting to take any mushroom he comes across.
'Is there a cooldown to that skill? There must be, otherwise it would be spamming it by now'
Atlas looked down at the gun in his hand.
'I don't have much bullets here, nor in the other gun'
The abomination had only cried out in pain for a short moment. The bullets having not much damage to the mass of flesh.
He didn't regret brunging more bullets because there were none to take anyways.
'I have to think of a plan quick otherwise...'
He didn't want to think about what may happen if the others get transported here too.
With boulder smashing strength, surprising speed and ridiculous defenses that thing was a beast!
'I can only stall for now while I try to find a weakness for now! Something is telling me it has one, and that's enough of a clue'
Atlas paused, choosing to smile at his situation and put on a nonchalant expression.
'Haha, more like my only clue'
