I Forgot[1]

Atlas walked out of the safe room with a dead Justin, throwing the corpse behind a nearby boulder out of sight.

Atlas looked down at his now bloodied gloved.

"Derrick is not gonna be happy"

He then proceeded to take off the gloves and throw them where Justin was.

Atlas looked at the soldiers that had finished digesting the situation.

He told the people who he had informed beforehand to explain what was going on to the going.

He walked over the now not-suspended sheet and over to Ragnar who looked much better now.

He proceeded to explain what he had learned from Justin.

"Apparently an individual known as the SOG promised his power if he simply followed his instructions"

"And so Justin concocted a plan to bring all of you guys to this place"

Atlas stretched his body once more, some cracking noises accompanying this time around.

"Ooh that felt good. Anyways yeah. It was pretty easy to find out after interrogating for only 10 minutes"

But as Atlas continued explaining he noticed a lack of replies from Ragnar.

He looked down at Ragnar who had only been vaguely nodding and making short sounds indicating his acknowledgment.

"How you doing Ragnar?"

Ragnar looked up at Atlas and sighed.

"I should've expected this Water Hose... In hindsight it seemed all too predictable"

Atlas smiled and put his hand on Ragnar's shoulder.

"In hindsight everything seems predictable. The past always looks predictable and the future unpredictable"

"But the predictable past was once the unpredictable future. Hindsight is looking back without the illusion of the present masking reality"

Ragnar slowly looked up with a gruff expression.

"You know I don't understand your motherfucking gibberish, right?"

They both burst out laughing together.

Ragnar got up as they both starting hitting each other.

"I know you understand you bitch!"

Ragnar slowly stopped laughing and looked at Atlas, his expression now much livelier.

"Is it time to leave this place?"

Atlas nodded. "Yeah, tell them to come into that room"

"Alright"

As Ragnar walked towards the rest of the soldiers, Atlas made his way back to the Safe Room and muttered to himself.

"That fucking nickname"

Ragnar got up with renewed vigor and walked towards the rest.

Soon Ragnar gathered all of his soldiers to inform them of what had happened.

"I know the betrayal of Justin must have hurt those close to him greatly. Even if it didn't hurt anyone of you, it definitely hurt me"

He sighed. "Justin... No, I don't even want to say his name anymore"

"He betrayed his humanity, the comraderie we all hold dear and the trust we had. But I can't blame him completely"

The rest spoke up at his words.

"What do you 'I can't blame him'?"

"Yeah! He tries to kill us all didn't he?

"What?" Are you serious!"

Ragnar closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"Now. What I'm saying is something Atlas found out himself. We're not sure of its certainty, but I wish to believe in this"

"Jus-No he... He might've been manipulated by some stronger entity"

He waited for their reactions.

"What do you mean stronger entity?"

"I mean I guess with what's happening this isn't that strange but..."

"I trust you Captain! I also don't think Justin would betray us so easily!"

Ragnar smiled at the last sentence he heard from the crowd.

He then pointed at the individual "Exactly! This is exactly what I wanted to convey!"

He laughed and spoke with a much livelier expression and voice.

"There is no way Justin would've betrayed us so easily! Especially after spending so much time with us. There is just no way!"

"So does that mean the unknown entity is our enemy?"

Ragnar looked at the one who spoke.

"Yes. It's our enemy, but it is something we cannot even begin to comprehend. We must first het stronger ourselves and together push for revenge!"

The other soldiers soon burst in excitement and vigor, loudly cheering.

No one noticed that Patrick was gone.

In the Safe Room Patrick was talking with Atlas.

"I was the one closest to Justin. Could you tell me what he told you?"

Atlas looked back at him and answered.

"Sure. He said that I 'fucking sucked ass' and that 'acting like things weren't going as I planned when they were' was 'pussy bitch move' "

Patrick laughed and heartily told.

"Haha! Yeah, that traitor hated being tricked. The only time he didn't complain was during Aprill Fools, but even then he was always on a bad mood due to being targeted"

He then composes himself and spoke with a gentle smile.

"Now I know what Captain is saying is slightly... optimistic. I was Justin's best friend and know how he is. If he wasn't planning on killing us then some other force wouldn't have changed his mind easily"

"Though I dont know how powerful this outside force is, it most likely isn't strong enough to change that Ox's mind"

Patrick signaled for Atlas to speak.

"I guess you of all people would know. Yeah, I also don't believe in the influence of the entity as much as I believe that Justin was an asshole. But just my gut feeling here"

"Anyways it seemed the police station was where he chanced upon the entity called SOG"

Patrick nodded as if he understood what was happening.

"SOG? I guess G must stand for greed then"

Atlas raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean by that? What clues did you use?"

Patrick started cracking his knuckles.

"The police station was not the same when he entered it. Apparently it was a dungeon, similar to this place maybe"

"It seemed to make everyone that entered 'greedy' and aggressive. Eventually after only a few people came back Captain gave orders to stop any investigations on the place"

Atlas nodded.

"Thanks for the info"

He smiled and gestured to the door.

"It sounds like the rest are coming"

And as if on cue, the rest soon poured in.

"Oh Patrick? What are you doing here?"

"Yeah Patrick you just dissapeared some point into Cap's speech"

"Which was banger by the way!"

Patrick chuckled and replied "Oh well I needed to catch a breather. You know how Justin was my best friend and all... Didn't know Atlas would be here though"

The rest didn't question him and arranged themselves, somehow fitting inside the small Safe Room.

Ragahr looked at Atlas and raised an eyebrow.

[Your turn. Speak what you need to]

Atlas turned to all the soldiers in the Safe Room and coughed once "You see this thing? Yeah this is the way back. Just touch it and a notification will appear"

He then proceeded to walk on the return circle.

"You'll then get a notification to leave, just press yes"

"Those for those who don't wanna leave can enjoy smelling the Abomination outside"

He turned to the notification to his left.

[Leave dungeon? Yes/No]

And selected 'Yes'.
