Chapter 13: The Great Reward of Boredom

At dawn, the sun outside the window is like an alien envoy dressed in costumes, shedding all the glory. I dressed quickly and excitedly, my mind running through boring ideas from the night before with my colleagues. I thought to myself: Today's party is not going to be easy! "Come on, Xiao Li, are you still dawdling?" I urged him on the phone and heard a "coming soon" response from his side.

The office has been decorated with all kinds of decorations, and everyone is working hard for the upcoming alien. I heard that aliens would be showing off their strange culture at the party, and I couldn't help but wonder what kind of surprise it would bring. While I was busy arranging, Xiao Zhang ran out of the corner and said excitedly: "I have found a boring dance evolved from an alien culture, which can definitely make people dumbfounded!"

"It depends on how receptive they are," I joked, wondering if the aliens could really understand our boring charm. Just then, the door of the conference room suddenly opened, and the alien arrived as promised, a tall man with a strange glow on his green skin. I was puzzled: they really weren't curious about the boredom we were about to see?

Li prepares to greet these "guests" with his guitar, looking like a little warrior, ready to take on the aliens in a boring battle. I tried to remain calm, imagining how my boring dance would interest them. Xiao Zhang smiled sweetly: "As long as we can make the aliens become boring fans of the Earth, the party will be a success!"

"Remember, folks, the goal is to bore the aliens, and maybe they'll find it a little confusing." I tried to encourage them, and then I wondered to myself: is it boredom, or even alien boredom, that really works together? Hopefully, our adventure today will give us an interesting answer to that question.

"Welcome! Alien friends!" I shouted, my voice trembling but my heart expectant. Xiao Li hurriedly adjusted his guitar and pushed hard, as if ready to greet these unexpected guests with music. The alien blinked those eight eyes, and the expression on his face was uniform, as if he had been crushed by our boredom. I peeked at Xiao Zhang, his hand gripping the notebook nervously, as if he were recording every move of his alien partner.

"Do you think they ever heard rock 'n' roll?" Xiao Zhang asked softly, with a twinkle of curiosity about the unknown in her eyes.

"I hope so! Otherwise we're really going to put them through the 'boring spirit' of Earth people." I laughed back, trying not to let the tension show. At this time, the atmosphere of the meeting room gradually became warm, and the alien began to look at the surrounding arrangement with curiosity.

"We have prepared some special boring programs that we sincerely hope will impress you." I tried to resolve my unease with humor, pointing to Li's tight guitar: "Like this very 'earth-like' guitar solo!"

Xiao Li immediately threw himself into playing, looking like a frantic guitarist, his fingers moving rapidly as if he were controlling a boring symphony. The aliens' expressions were consistent, and only one or two seemed to be attracted by our performance and began to sway slowly.

"Look! They're following the rhythm!" Xiao Zhang whispered, and his joy turned into a smile. Just as the atmosphere was getting more congenial, a sudden "beep" on the tip of the tongue broke the silence, and the aliens began to respond in a peculiar language, God knows if they were praising our performance or getting ready to quit the party. The tension in my heart began to build again.

"Let's show the boredom of the Earth!" I gathered my courage and decided to invite everyone to join in the boring feast. "Let's have an opening game! 'Alien meditation'! Let's see who can last the longest!" I winked at my colleagues, thinking to myself: even if the aliens were really bored, we'd given ourselves a chance. No matter what, tonight's adventure will not be plain and simple!

"All right, alien friends, ready to enter our boring world?" Pretending to be relaxed, I turned to direct Xiao Li to continue his guitar playing. His voice was like a rock Starfleet horn, blazing with edge, but the melody of each note was still as eerie as an alien's eye. "Come on, everybody join in!" I inspire my colleagues.

Xiao Zhang is eager to try: "I know an earth people play a very high game, called 'boring guard'!" No one here can say a word, and any funny behavior is allowed!" I can't help but think that if the aliens could understand how we play with boredom, it might give tonight's exchange a little more depth.

"Xiao Li, come and judge the boring game! Do you think this rule will be of interest to aliens?" Xiao Zhang tried to keep the atmosphere lively, looking expectantly at his friend who was playing the guitar. "Maybe we need to prepare a simple show for them." Xiao Li's face looked thoughtful. Aliens might like this' quiet 'process rather than a chaotic show.

Just then, one of the aliens lifted its long fingers and slapped them gently on the table top. The whole conference room fell silent. There was a nervous anticipation in the air. The alien's mouth opened slightly, as if trying to say something, and my heart hung with it.

"Xiao Zhang, go and prepare them quickly, if they want to express some kind of opinion, it will be wonderful!" I hinted at him, silently hoping that this wasn't "the true test of boredom." Just then, in a strange way, the alien made an unexpected sound: "Doo-boo -!" It sounds like you're trying to have a boring whisper conversation.

"Wow, they're starting to imitate our voices, it's so funny!" Xiao Li said excitedly, can not help but shake the strings, apparently infected by the alien performance. "At this rate, we may find common pleasure in boredom!" I was secretly excited to see how this unique exchange would develop. A smile spread across my face. Tonight's adventure is no longer boring.

"Doo-boo!" The alien's mysterious voice sounded again, as if echoing everything about us. "They seem to like our performance!" Xiao Zhang said excitedly, opening the distance between the two aliens, ready to meet this mysterious exchange.

"If they're imitating, we need to do something more difficult!" I had a brainwave and suggested, "Come on, let's do something humorous!" After saying this, I rubbed my face hard, and then made a face, and the alien immediately followed me to copy it, and the expression was more complex.

"This is very interesting! Xiao Li laughs as he plays his guitar. "When can I become the star of an alien impersonation show?" With that, he turned up the volume on his guitar, as if to take the atmosphere to a new peak.

"Be careful, don't scare them away!" "I joked. The aliens showed great interest in this, moved their bodies a little, and began to try to imitate us with the movements of the Earth people. The situation turned dramatic and everyone laughed.

"It's the new Facebook of boredom! Nothing less than our party!" Xiao Zhang proposed, quickly driving everyone together to imitate the aliens' actions, "We can turn them into boring little angels!" The office was suddenly busy, and everyone was engaged in this boring stage play.

Just as we were enjoying ourselves, suddenly, the back door opened and another alien burst in. It is red all over, seems to bring a different aura, the boring atmosphere around the moment was broken, everyone stopped in joy, staring at the new visitor.

"Whoaa! Our new alien friends look a little different." Xiao Li mumbled in a low voice and took a slight step back. The red alien was so large that it shone as if it could light up a conference room. I felt the atmosphere around me suddenly become tense, but then I was driven by curiosity. Could this guy be interested in our boredom, too?

"Welcome, red alien friends!" I shouted in as enthusiastic a voice as I could muster. "Do you want to participate in our boring game?" I waved at him as I spoke, trying to appear relaxed. The red alien actually tilted his head slightly, showing a hint of interest.

"Everybody, get ready for action! Let's show it the charm of boredom!" Xiao Zhang shouted loudly, excited like a child. Colleagues who were mimicking the alien immediately turned to the new visitor, curious to see how the red alien would react.

Just as everyone was staring at it expectantly, the red alien began to wiggle its body gently, as if to greet us. If it mimics our boredom, I can't help but say, we're in for some cosmic fun.

"Great, looks like he wants to be part of our boring show!" I said excitedly, thinking that the party was getting more and more interesting. Xiao Li and Xiao Zhang quickly find some strange props, intend to let the red alien also join the boring dance, the office is instantly lively again. Everyone beckoned him to join our little team.

At this moment of jubilation, the red alien suddenly made a strange sound in its unique intonation: "Pu-pu-goo -!" The sound was deafening, yet hilarious, and everyone could not help laughing. At this moment, I realize that perhaps our boredom is precisely this fearless persistence.

The red aliens continued to make strange noises, as if in response to our boredom. Xiao Li was so amused by his imitation that he exclaimed: "We've met an alien funny genius!" And I can't help but wonder: such an interesting alien, what is its story? At this point, Xiao Zhang suggested: "Let's have a question and answer session and let the red alien tell us about its planet!" It certainly won't be boring!"

'That's right! I immediately responded, "Use the simplest body language to ask him questions." We huddled around, trying to communicate with imitation and gestures. "What star are you from?" I made a gesture pointing to the sky. And the alien seems to understand, also with a finger above the head, gently wiggle. We couldn't help laughing, but it was clearly trying to participate in our boring part.

"Look, red aliens are masters of boredom too!" "Cried Xiao Li happily. He added cheerfully, "If it could understand boredom, its planet wouldn't be very boring!" My heart suddenly surged with warmth, thinking that even aliens can't help but be attracted to the boredom of our planet.

"I've decided! Zhang suddenly interrupted, "Our next step is to introduce it to more boring activities, such as boring hunting games!" At this point, everyone goes into action, each looking for small objects in the office, eager to bring the red alien into a deeper boring experience. We even created some challenges with paper cups and notebooks to get it involved.

Just as the atmosphere became more and more heated, the alien suddenly stopped moving, and its two big eyes flashed strange lights in front of us, as if they were thinking about something. Does it have unexpected reactions? I watched it nervously, my heart was disturbed. Just then, in a bold move, the red alien actually began to imitate our movements, repeating the boring game we had just played in a weird way, and the scene suddenly became hilarious.

"Have you ever seen this kind of imitation? He's the king of boredom!" Xiao Li was so happy that he almost fell down. However, when I saw the red aliens imitating the classic moves, I had a hunch that this wonderful exchange not only made us understand each other better, but maybe it hinted at some future secrets. Just as we enjoy this boring feast of joy, there is really a boring power quietly increasing.

"Look, he's even getting better at imitating!" I said in surprise, my heart filled with curiosity. The red aliens turn around flexibly, make funny faces like we do, and even start trying to set the mood with all our boring movements. It's as if everything is funny and joyful, and this boring interaction becomes a bridge between us and the aliens.

"I believe it's woven into our party." Xiao Zhang said excitedly, his eyes shining. "If you could give it a boring challenge, it would crack up!" I immediately realized that we might have to create some new activities to give this alien full play. After all, there is no limit to boring creativity.

"Yes! Let's play a team game!" Li suddenly threw out the idea, "Let everyone divide into two groups, and see which group can complete the boring task in five minutes with the objects at hand!" As soon as I heard it, I became excited and remembered the borrowed props in the office. The competition of boring games is like a stimulant, making everyone eager to try.

"Red Alien, would you like to join our boring team?" Xiao Zhang gestures to the red alien, and our invitation seems to have broken its inner barrier. He nodded vigorously, his head moving slowly, as if he were more than willing to join the fight. We gathered around and piled all the props together.

"Okay, let's start the race!" When I gave the order, all the props on the table were instantly lifted by everyone, and the chaos was full of laughter. The alien was full of energy, grabbed a paper cup, made a funny face, and for a moment the atmosphere became the most joyous interactive event. We are full of enthusiasm and completely forget the boredom and sadness of work.

"Wait a minute, red alien, that was a classic face!" Xiao Li held his stomach and laughed, and the colleagues around him also cast admiring eyes. It was during this joyous moment that a lightbulb thought crossed my mind: How long could communication between us and aliens last? Is this party going to make our lives less boring for a moment?

"Have you ever thought about what would happen if this red alien really wanted to stay and become our colleague?" Xiao Zhang suddenly came out of this sentence, I was suddenly happy, "Maybe we will set up an alien team in the office, specializing in killing boring tasks!"

"Ha ha, red alien, would you like to join us for our weekly boring meeting?" Xiao Li interjected with an exaggerated gesture that made everyone laugh. The red aliens also seem to be taking a keen interest, waving their hands in the air as if they are sharing some alien humor with us.

"If I could get off work every now and then and go to Basketball Planet, I'd be happy." "But first, you'll have to help me feed the alien, or we'll have a big budget if it comes." Amid a burst of playful laughter, I suddenly realized that aliens might not only be the spice of the party, but also the key to our new life.

Just then, a strange noise came from the office next door. Puzzled, we looked toward the door and saw a tall alien, with an even more imposing silhouette, coming slowly. Its presence made the atmosphere tense and seemed to have an uncanny sense of command. "Don't be afraid, red alien, isn't it supposed to be the leader of your planet?" I plucked up my courage and tried to make fun of it.

"Maybe the alien police got bored." Xiao Zhang whispered, his eyes full of playfulness. The alien raised his chin slightly, seemingly unconcerned by our teasing, quietly
