Lily
When I wasn’t forced by Chiara to talk to Adriana, I was sitting and staring in Matteo’s house. I didn’t have anything to do, but I also didn’t know what I wanted to do. Everything seemed pointless, but at least the sun was shining today. I dragged myself to the porch today, to sit and stare there.
“Lily!”, Guilia yelled and waved from afar when she saw me sitting there. “My savior! Come, I need your help.”, she said and dragged me out of my comfy chair. I tried to protest, but she was not hearing it. Like, literally not hearing it, because she just kept talking to shut me out, and meanwhile dragging me to her office.
“Here, sit.”, she said, and then she placed a big cup of coffee in front of me. “Have a look at this, will you? I know it is making a profit. A small one, I admit, but what am I doing wrong? No matter what I do, it ends up showing a loss.”, she said aggravated. Reluctantly, I picked up the paper she placed in front of me, and I went over the numbers.
