Shattered Reflections

As Hazel's vision blazed brightly, everything disappeared and faded away… Suddenly! He found himself trapped once more in front of a horrific scene—a room engulfed in devastating flames. The fire danced in every corner, and the inhabitants screamed as the flames consumed them, relentlessly hunting down the family members and devouring them without mercy! The cries of despair and death filled the air, saturated with the scent of burning and blood, while the flames devoured flesh and bone, melting away longing and affection.

Suddenly! One of the family members in that room thrust a small baby toward Hazel! He felt immense fear and confusion, as he had experienced this moment before! It was as if he had come back to life, as if he possessed multiple souls! He sensed this was another opportunity before him that he must seize, so he hurriedly took the baby again, but this time he decided to escape through the window instead of the door, despite the danger because the window was completely ablaze! Yet, it was the only option left to him. He ran quickly and thoughtlessly toward the blazing window, and just before he jumped, he collided with one of the family members and fell to the ground with the baby. In a flash! Enormous, searing flames lunged at them, beginning to consume them relentlessly from every side! They turned to glowing embers in a cunning dance of fire. Hazel and the baby screamed loudly as the flames engulfed them, igniting the candles of hell in a dark tragedy. Finally, the flames swallowed both darkness and light, leaving only the faint whispers of death. As Hazel's vision blazed brightly, everything disappeared and faded away…

Hazel's terror intensified, and he interrupted Scath: "Damn it! Is there more suffering to come? What will I face? Please tell me!"

Scath retorted: "Calm down! I told you everything will be alright! You will know everything in due time, but remember! You must not save that baby! Do not save it! Did you hear me? If you want to survive all this, you must let that baby die, no matter what!!!"

Before Hazel could ask about the baby Scath mentioned, Scath removed his hand from Hazel's shoulder and continued: "I know this is difficult for you! But listen, everything will pass peacefully. This will be the last time you see me. We will meet again after a long time, and when you return to reality, you will forget me and remember only my words—it's as if I never appeared in your life at all!"

Hazel lay back and stretched out on the ground, consumed by a world of deep thoughts and the surrounding tragedy that mercilessly bound him. Pain gradually devoured him, and the darkness of despair seeped into his soul as he realized that what lay ahead was worse, based on Scath's words. He glanced at Scath, and suddenly, without warning, Scath shattered like glass, as if he were something false! He broke apart into shards and then vanished, leaving only a dark void filled with fear and dark thoughts that clung to Hazel's mind.

Hazel closed his eyes, and when he opened them, everything around him had vanished! The ground he had been lying on disappeared, and the surrounding space faded as if it had never existed… Suddenly! He found himself trapped in front of a horrific scene—a room engulfed in devastating flames.

He rushed forward to protect the baby, quickly scooping it up while seeking a way out of the fiery hell through the back door of the room! Just then, the blazing door collapsed!

Hazel jumped from his hospital bed in sheer terror, finding himself surrounded by nurses trying to calm him. Yet the horror he experienced in that dream lingered within him, and he continued to scream in panic. Just then, the doctor intervened and injected him with a sedative, causing a wave of lethargy to wash over him until he lay back on the bed, calming down once more. He stared at the ceiling, while the room was in chaos as nurses rushed about.

In an instant, Hazel finally grasped Scath's meaning when he spoke of "telepathy," as foggy thoughts engulfed him, reminding him of that fatal car accident! Six hours passed quickly in that state, with him staring at the ornate white ceiling above. Then a nurse came to invite him to join for a meal. He truly wanted to escape that bed beneath the cursed ceiling. With the nurse's assistance, he got up and headed to the dining area.

He sat at a table while two women sat across from him. From their conversation, he gathered they were discussing a person who had entered the hospital and somehow managed to trap the nurses in a room in the dining area. Hazel quickly realized who that person was—it was the madman who had tried to kill him mercilessly. He attempted to ignore everything and relax, beginning to eat the meal in front of him while gazing out the window at the hospital garden. He began to savor a moment of peace and calm despite his chaotic life.

After finishing his meal, he quietly returned to his room. Just before he reached it, an elderly woman called out to him. He ignored her call until a small hand grabbed his pant leg. When he turned around, he found a little girl who quickly told him, "My grandma wants to talk to you!"

He paused for a moment, looking at the elderly woman peeking shyly from the room's door. He approached the elderly woman's room with steady, calm steps, the little girl still holding onto him. Once inside, he was taken aback by the number of people in the room—women, men, and children. The elderly woman spoke after noticing Hazel's astonishment: "Hehehe… Don't be surprised! They are my family and grandchildren. They all gathered here and refused to leave me alone after they learned that I only have a few weeks left to live due to the brain tumor I have…!"

Hazel ignored the old woman's words and asked her, "Why did you call me?"

The elderly woman replied: "I saw that strange person when he entered your room! After that, I heard screams! I couldn't do anything because I am weak, so I went to the dining area but found no nurses. Even though I was late, I eventually managed to open the door to the nurses who were trapped in the kitchen!"
