Jenny POV:
I trudged to my room, the soft carpet muffling my footsteps. I flopped onto the bed, the plush comforter enveloping me in warmth. As I lay there, Granny's words swirled in my mind like a gentle breeze.
"But is it really of no use?" I thought, my brow furrowed in concern. "What if he doesn't feel what I feel? I should forget about it."
I closed my eyes, feeling the weight of my eyelids like a gentle blanket. The soft hum of the air conditioner and the occasional creak of the house lulled me into a peaceful state. As I drifted off to sleep, my thoughts grew quieter, like the ebbing tide.
My breathing slowed, and my body relaxed, sinking into the mattress like a feather floating gently to the ground. The last thing I remembered was the soft whisper of Granny's words in my mind, "Follow your heart..."
As I slipped into slumber, the world outside my room melted away, leaving only the gentle darkness of my subconscious.
