Lydian's smile was like a ray of sunshine, illuminating the room. "You were always cold and heartless, and would bully me for the smallest things," she said, her voice tinged with amusement.
I shrugged, my expression unchanging. "I know, right? That time, I was trying to get used to everything, but it sounded weird to me, so I did what I knew best - being myself."
Lydian's eyes sparkled with mirth. "And you made the whole school fear you, but you forgot to make me scared too."
I leaned back, my eyes locked onto hers. "I tried, but you're so stubborn. Today, I realized you always go for something you want, and it's been long since you stayed around me. So, I think it's time I treat the people who were with me all these years nicely. I've been selfish to you, so will you forgive your cold friend?"
