The Upir twins’ loss III

[…Hm? Uh, never mind.]

Narrator-san: “I think with this, Victor, we can conclude that you have completely become wrapped in her hands?”

[Shut up! Speak for yourself! I’m starting the narration for Lady Eira’s backstory now – DON’T YOU DARE INTERUPT ME.]

Narrator-san: Ah, before you start, I have a special message to relay after the backstory.

[No problem, I’ll remind you.]

Ahem!

Lady Eira, like Gideon, was a human before:

Around 200 years ago, 1840, she lived with her beloved husband in a small village from the Scottish Highlands.

She was also an orphan – a servant whom a man, Herald, eventually bought, then married.

The man was very passionate. He showed her a life of happiness, wonder, and joy; took her to places she couldn’t have dreamt of going, as a slave. The only thing secondary in his life was a fanatical curiosity for Mystic energy, including the system in which the world operates.
