Feeling mocked and made-a-fool of, the Chief’s green eyes shone faintly, and the flames grew more rapidly, engulfing the self-satisfied Lady Eira.

Lady Eira, like her husband, tried to grin and bear the suffering of burning.

She was starting to gasp, cough, and pant for air, like a fish yearning for water on the surface of land. The smell of her burning flesh was horrendous. She couldn’t even cry – her tears would be immediately vaporized.
