DOUBLE THEM

Just before they reached KY Globals' headquarters, Kendrick asked, "Alu, do you remember the scandals of the women that happened before?"

"Yes, Sir, as I recall, there had been four of them, the daughters of Xuan, Song, Fu, and Master Zhao's cousin." Alu confidently responded with facts.

"I would like you to investigate all of them and provide me with all the details," Kendrick ordered.

"Understood."

"How much security did you assign for the Missus?" Kendrick asked again.

"Four, Sir, as you instructed."

"Double them."

"...."

'I thought the boss doesn't want Missus to know she is being followed, and yet he wants eight security to roam around her?' Alu could only shake his head.

"Understood, Sir."

Amelia slipped into snug jeans and a cozy, striped knitted top, perfectly matched with the pristine white sneakers that Kendrick had just gifted her. She elegantly tied her hair into a ponytail, added a touch of shimmering lip gloss for a finishing touch, and was ready to go.

"Uncle Mu, could you please take me to the garage?" Amelia politely asked; she only realized that she was still not familiar with Kendrick's mansion.

"Madam, this way, please."

"Uncle Mu, can you just call me Amelia? Madam sounds too old for me." Amelia expressed as she followed Butler Mu.

"I'm sorry, Madam, but this is improper. Here we are, Madam; choose whichever you prefer, and I will take the keys for you."

Amelia felt a headache looking at the cars parked in the garage. There were too many of them, and they were all too flashy. They were an assortment of Bugatti, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, Ferrari, and Mercedes.

"Does he need all these cars?!" Amelia exclaimed that it made Butler Mu laugh.

"I forgot to mention to you that the Young Master's only hobby is collecting these cars," Butler Mu conveyed.

"Uncle Mu, which is the cheapest among them?"

"That would be the white Mercedes, Madam."

Amelia craned her neck to look for the white Mercedes.

Amelia's eyes constricted as she saw a white Maybach Exelero. She knew this car because her father owned one, which cost around eight million USD.

"You mean this is the cheapest among them?" Butler Mu confirmed.

"Yes, Madam."

"...."

"I think I better take the taxi," Amelia said, ready to leave.

"But Madam, Young Master will be very disappointed if you don't drive his car and choose to take a taxi instead. It will hurt his ego." Butler Mu explained to calm down Amelia.

Amelia pondered; she didn't want Kendrick to feel bad, either. "But it's just too flashy!" Amelia grumbled.

"Madam, why don't you take the black Ferrari? It is smaller and not too ostentatious," Butler Mu recommended as he grabbed the keys from the box and led Amelia to it.

"Madam, I think this car suits you well." Butler Mu proclaimed.

Looking at the two-door black Ferrari, Amelia feels it is acceptable. 'Maybe I should buy a cheaper car to drive; I wonder how much this car is; I should not scratch it at any cost,' Amelia lamented.

"Then, I'll take this, Uncle Mu. Thank you." Amelia took the keys and drove off.

Amelia made it to the Grand Palace Mall before Nerissa. Nerissa let Amelia know that she was stuck in traffic and assured Amelia that she would join her at her favorite shop in thirty minutes.

As Amelia leisurely strolled towards the shop that Nerissa had mentioned, understanding she had thirty minutes to spare, little did Amelia know that Clara and her friends were also in the mall. Upon emerging from the parking elevator, Clara immediately caught Amelia's presence. Clara was seated with her friends, enjoying a cup of coffee across from the elevators.

'This bitch is also here, it looks like she is alone. Let me play with you today so you can admit you don't fit in this place.' Clara thought and devised her plan in mind with a sly countenance. Clara then whispered to her friends, which excited them.

Amelia eventually arrived at the shop where she was supposed to meet Nerissa; this is Nerissa's favorite shop. While waiting for Nerissa, Amelia browsed through the items on the new arrivals.

"Good morning, miss. These are our new arrivals, and you are welcome to take your time and choose. We have a wide variety of colors and sizes available," the shop attendant said warmly, greeting Amelia.

Amelia noticed that the shop attendant was new. She is familiar with the staff at this shop, as Nerissa comes here at least twice a month and always takes her along.

"Thank you," Amelia said to the shop attendant.

After some time,

"Don't bother wasting your time on someone who can't afford it," asserted a woman who entered the shop. The woman was wearing flashy, expensive clothes. She was carrying an oversized luxurious bag that silently screamed, 'Money!' She was with another woman dressed in a similarly glitzy and glamorous outfit, making Amelia want to vomit looking at them.

"Hey, don't say that," the second lady retorted firmly, "I heard she has found a sugar daddy."

The shop attendant who greeted Amelia heard all these and promptly cautioned her against touching any of the displays. The attendant seemed visibly worried that Amelia might soil the delicate items. She subtly implied that she may not have the means to cover any potential damage.

Amelia raised her brows and ignored the two women; and continued to browse around.

"See how the gold digger's arrogance has grown," the second woman emphasized once more, glancing at Amelia with disgust.

Another person's arrival caught everyone's eye as she entered the shop. Also wearing the same flamboyant outfit, "Well, well, well, look who's gracing us with her presence. Her parents slave away overseas while she's here, trying to carve out her niche in a society that doesn't quite accept her," she remarked as she strolled alongside Amelia.

"Miss, please leave our shop." The shop attendant advised Amelia.

"Yeah, you should let her leave; otherwise, we won't buy anything with her filthy presence here." The first woman declared with a snort.

The shop attendant's persistence in driving Amelia away intensified when she noticed the three wealthy-looking ladies. She eagerly anticipated the potential commission she could earn from them.

"Miss, please leave, or I will call the security." The shop attendant once again told Amelia.
