Chapter 150: The Siberian Fortress

Alyssa and Eleanor sat in the briefing room, surrounded by holographic maps of the Siberian compound. Marcus stood at the head of the room, detailing the fortress's defenses.

"The compound is embedded in the mountains, surrounded by dense forests and snowfields. Satellite imagery shows an intricate network of tunnels running beneath the surface, likely used for storage and transport. The primary command center is located here," Marcus pointed to a red dot at the heart of the facility.

"The Shroud's leadership will be there," Alyssa said, her gaze fixed on the map.

Marcus nodded. "If we take them out, the organization crumbles. They won't be able to regroup, and without their communication network, they'll be completely vulnerable."

Eleanor crossed her arms. "Sounds simple enough, but what aren't you telling us?"

Marcus sighed. "The compound has one of the most advanced anti-intrusion systems we've ever seen. There's no way in without alerting them to our presence. Once you're inside, it's going to be a fight from start to finish."

Alyssa leaned back in her chair. "We've fought through worse."

Marcus's expression remained serious. "This is different. The Shroud knows you're coming. They've bolstered their forces with mercenaries, drones, and automated defenses. You'll need to move fast and stay ahead of them at every turn."

Eleanor smiled grimly. "Good. It's time we give them a fight they'll never forget."
