Chapter 151: The Infiltration

The snowstorm raged around them as Alyssa and Eleanor trudged through the thick snow. The towering Siberian mountains loomed overhead, their jagged peaks barely visible through the storm. The cold bit through their gear, but the adrenaline coursing through their veins kept them moving forward.

They had opted for a stealth approach, entering the Siberian wilderness on foot to avoid detection. A helicopter or vehicle would have been too obvious, and The Shroud would be waiting for them if they made any noise. Instead, they relied on their training and Marcus's intel to guide them through the storm.

"Visibility's down to almost nothing," Eleanor muttered, scanning the white landscape. "Perfect for us, I guess."

Alyssa pulled out her scope, using thermal vision to scan the horizon. "There," she said, pointing to a faint heat signature in the distance. "Looks like the outer perimeter of the compound. We're close."

The two approached the compound's outer fence, which was lined with electrified wiring and patrolled by drones. Alyssa carefully pulled out a device from her pack, attaching it to the fence to disable the electricity.

"We've got five minutes before they notice the power cut," Alyssa whispered.

Eleanor nodded, keeping an eye on the nearby patrol drones. "Let's make it count."

They slipped through the opening in the fence, moving swiftly and silently through the snow. Inside the compound's outer defenses, they found themselves in a maze of tunnels and watchtowers. Guards patrolled the area, but Alyssa and Eleanor expertly avoided detection, their movements practiced and precise.

As they reached the entrance to the main command center, Eleanor paused. "This is it," she whispered. "The last step."

Alyssa nodded, her expression steely. "We end this."
