THE EGG
Ray, started moving as the pain in his body subdued a little.

(No, i don't. It was founded by Apex on one of his journeys. He tried to form a contract with the beast but it didn't even respond. So,his curiosity piqued as to who can form a contract with it and what will come out of it.Thus he tried to find someone who can form a contract with it but no one could form. So he left it for you.)

Then just feed some of my mana to the egg to check if it's grown and ready to come out if it is it will come out and if it's not than i just have feed him until it's fully grown."

As, Ray finished saying that he stood near the egg and bit his thumb. The blood flow from the thumb on the egg, at first it didn't respond as if testing it. Then all of a sudden it started vibrating intensely.
A the egg trembled a magic circle started to form under them giving an intense glow. Like a link had been formed in his mind Alex started to feel his connection with the beast indicating that the contract has been formed.

Ray started feeding the egg his mana and as if it had been hungry for years it started devouring it leaving only 30% mana left in his core.
"Whoa, quiet the big eater you are"

As if just waiting for him to ask a blue coloured portal appeared in front of him.
"Finally" Ray muttered, he picked up the egg and started moving towards the portal.
The moment he moved through the portal, the chamber started collapsing and in the matter of moments it turned into a rubble.

In a dim-light room, where multiple screens were playing, casting their glow in successive repetition showing different videos of entire establishment.
There sitting on a round table a man's gruff voice rang out.
"The Apex successor has been decided."
The room descended into complete silence, the once talking of members sitting on the round conference table could only stare at the man as his words echoed in the room. Breaking the silence a serene voice asked.
"Are you sure the information is correct right. You know how much important the topic is, right ?"
"Yes, the information thoroughly checked, even rankers were sent just to confirm that the labyrinth has collapsed." the man answered.
"Well, atlast after hundred years someone had to be chosen" a young voice chimed in
"You are really have to be a fool, if you are underestimating him. It's not about how much time it took its about whoever has been selected, has the potential to rise to the power." another voice mocked
"You are right, if he rose to power than he can become one of humanity's greatest assets." a calm voice resounded.
"What if he turns against us?"
"Oh, did you forget for whom legacy he had been chosen"

"Don't worry if he choose to take the wrong path than we can just you know what I mean"

In a vast, lush green forest, where the trees stood so tall that they seem to reach the sky, the wild animals running through the forest giving a sense of tranquility. Even the air moved in soothing waves containing different small butterflies and birds with it. Located somewhere in the hidden forest was an establishment where some long - eared individuals simply elves seems to be in a deep conversation. The topic of the conversation was Ray, albeit with a little bit mystery as they don't know who he was, just that much that a successor has been selected.

"I agree, I am happy for him as he helped us a lot that time, so do you know who is it elder" a voice soft and composed rang out politely considering the person in front.
"No, there's no information about who it is. The only thing known was that the first labyrinth collasped. And there can only be one reason as to why it collapsed but the others still remains standing" the elder in question spoke

"Oh, so we can say that now the number of the big guns in human race stands on equal with the us" a playful voice spoke.
"Hmph, so what i still didn't see any need for us to be in an alliance with the other races" a proud and arrogant voice sounded.
"That topic again, do you really not get it or are you just brain-dead?" a bored voice answered him
" Being in an alliance is important for our survival it's that simple don't you get it" a strict voice uttered.

As the topic shifted from the successor to the alliance and then to other things the elder shook his head and turned his head towards the human realm.
