Chapter 108 Dead Memories Attack Me Again!

Stark was stunned and asked awkwardly, "Wait, isn't that how it works? I always thought magic academies were like that."

"The one riding a broomstick… isn't that a witch?" Luo Bai sighed, exasperated.

"It seems... yeah, you're right," Stark muttered, now feeling even more embarrassed.

Fortunately, at that moment, Mordo approached them.

"Sorcerer Supreme, you've returned. And this is... Stark?"

Mordo greeted Luo Bai first, then turned to Stark with a surprised expression.

Stark hadn't expected a sorcerer he had never met to know his name. He murmured in surprise, "Am I really that famous? Even sorcerers know me?"

His voice was soft, but Mordo heard him clearly.

Before Stark could react, Mordo replied matter-of-factly, "Of course, you're famous."

Hearing that, Stark couldn't hide the proud grin creeping onto his face.

It was clear he was enjoying the recognition—his smile widening, his confidence swelling.

But before he could bask in it for too long, Mordo continued with a serious expression, "Actually, I've always wanted to ask—was the address you revealed on TV really your home address?"

Instantly, Stark's smile froze.

The awkwardness on his face was evident.

Flustered, he fidgeted with his hands, making a few nervous gestures before finally complaining, "Yeah, it was my real address... But wait, do you sorcerers actually watch the news?"

"Of course! We're sorcerers, not cavemen," Mordo replied bluntly.

"..."

Stark was speechless.

Before he could recover, Mordo asked again, "I still can't believe someone actually broadcasted their home address on live television. I heard that because of it, your house was almost blown up?"

"..."

Stark fell silent once more.

Memories of the past came rushing back, filling him with regret. He never thought he'd become the butt of a joke even in the world of sorcery.

Feeling defeated, he turned to Luo Bai for help.

Luo Bai, however, only gave him a helpless look.

That made Stark feel even more embarrassed. Sighing, he finally explained, "Okay, I'll admit—I was a little impulsive back then. But that's in the past. I've grown, and I'm a lot more stable now. Something like that won't happen again."

Mordo nodded and remarked, "It's good to see people grow. Congratulations."

Before Stark could say anything, Mordo asked, "So, what brings you to Kamar-Taj?"

Stark sighed and gave a bitter smile. "Well, as you can see, I'm here to learn magic."

"Learn magic?" Mordo frowned and turned to look at Luo Bai.

It wasn't until Luo Bai nodded that Mordo finally believed him.

The Sorcerer Supreme usually only brought exceptionally talented individuals to Kamar-Taj—those with great potential in magic. It was all part of ensuring the continued strength of their order.

So Mordo wasn't entirely surprised by Stark's presence.

However, realizing that Stark was now a new magic apprentice, Mordo immediately became serious.

After all, he was responsible for guiding most of the apprentices through their training.

"Stark, welcome to Kamar-Taj. I'll be overseeing your apprenticeship until you complete your studies," Mordo said solemnly.

Hearing this, Stark froze for a moment.

He turned to Luo Bai in disbelief and asked, "Wait... so you're telling me I have to learn magic from him?"

Luo Bai nodded and confirmed, "Yes, he's responsible for teaching all the apprentices at Kamar-Taj."

Stark sighed in frustration. For someone as socially adept as him, it was rare to feel this awkward.

After all, not only did Mordo know about his embarrassing past, but he was also his teacher now.

Thinking of this, Stark turned to Luo Bai with a helpless expression and complained, "I thought you were going to teach me."

Before Luo Bai could respond, Mordo interjected, "The Sorcerer Supreme has many important matters to handle. He's very busy."

With that, Mordo finally got to the main reason for his arrival. "By the way, Supreme Sorcerer, Casillas and the fallen mages have been captured. I've summoned all the mages to gather at the training ground. We're just waiting for you to deal with them."

Luo Bai had returned to Kamar-Taj precisely for this reason—to deal with these fallen sorcerers.

Without hesitation, he turned and, along with Stark and Mordo, made his way to the training ground.

The training ground was unusually crowded today. Nearly all the mages of Kamar-Taj had gathered.

At the center, restrained by magical artifacts, knelt Casillas and his followers—the mages who had betrayed Kamar-Taj and succumbed to the darkness.

There were eleven in total.

Bound and kneeling, their faces bore expressions of defiance.

The surrounding mages whispered among themselves, discussing what fate awaited the fallen sorcerers.

However, as soon as Luo Bai appeared, silence fell over the training ground.

All eyes were on him, waiting to see how he would handle Casillas and his followers.

After all, the previous Sorcerer Supreme had strictly forbidden Kamar-Taj mages from studying dark magic.

Everyone assumed that Casillas and his group would inevitably face exile.

But Luo Bai's decision took them all by surprise.

"Wong, release them," Luo Bai commanded.

Wong, who had been standing sternly by the prisoners, was momentarily stunned.

Thinking he had misheard, he asked again, "Sorcerer Supreme, are you saying… release them?"

Luo Bai nodded in confirmation.

Though confused, Wong ultimately obeyed. He dispelled the restraints binding Casillas and his followers, allowing them to stand freely.

Casillas himself looked bewildered.

"You're really letting me go?" he asked, disbelief in his voice. It was clear he hadn't expected to be spared.

But Luo Bai not only confirmed his decision, he made an even more shocking declaration.

"Not only am I letting you go," he said, his voice calm but firm, "I am also lifting the ban imposed by the previous Sorcerer Supreme."

Luo Bai then turned to address the gathered mages.

"From this moment forward, any mage of Kamar-Taj who is willing and believes they can bear the consequences may study dark magic in the library."

A stunned silence swept through the crowd.

No one was more shocked than Mordo.

Unable to accept such a drastic change, he stepped forward and questioned, "Sorcerer Supreme! Isn't this highly inappropriate?"

Luo Bai simply smiled and replied calmly, "I don't think so."

"I've studied Kamar-Taj's history, and I found that, time and again, mages have sought out dark magic on their own initiative."

"Though Kamar-Taj has long prohibited the study of dark magic, I understand the desire to grow stronger."

"And the fastest way to gain power is by drawing energy from the Dark Dimension—just as Casillas did."

"After this battle, you should all have witnessed firsthand the advantages of using the Dark Dimension's power."

"It grants sorcerers immense strength—powerful magic that can be wielded effortlessly."

"Seeing Casillas' abilities now, I have no doubt that many of you are tempted."

Luo Bai's gaze swept over the assembled mages.

And from the flicker of interest in their eyes, it was clear—some of them were indeed tempted.
