Aurora's breath hitched. Her mind raced through endless possibilities. Juliet was heavily pregnant. If something happened to her or the baby—no, this was bad.
"What's the situation with Juliet?" Aurora asked, trying to steady her voice.
"I don't know yet," Stephanie admitted. "That's what I'm about to find out."
Aurora felt lightheaded. The overwhelming rush of emotions made the world around her blur.
Her vision swayed, and just as she stumbled, Nene caught her.
"Ma'am!" Nene's voice was laced with concern as she helped Aurora onto the nearby couch.
Aurora took a shaky breath, pressing a hand to her forehead. "Aunt, go ahead and get more information. Call me back as soon as you have anything."
"Understood," Stephanie replied. "Stay put for now."
As soon as the call ended, Nene took the phone from Aurora's hand.
"Are you alright?" she asked, worry evident in her tone.
Aurora shook her head, her hands trembling slightly.
