Path [4]

Under the bright moonlight that shines upon the meadow, a battle of blades began. The spectral serpents kept the other bandits at bay, allowing Angel to fight against one on one.

Silas gave the first move with swift movements that couldn't be seen inside the darkness of the night, using the shadows to his advantage and tackle Angel from different directions.

"Where is he coming from!?", he muttered to himself whilst keeping his guard.

"Look above.", Silas responded.

"What-", Angel stops as he looks above him.

Silas came down from above and caught Angel off guard. He stabbed his blade at Angel's arm all the way down as he landed before disappearing once again in the shadows.

"Argh!", Angel briefly screamed in pain before regaining his position.

"The odds are against you so just accept it and give up.", his voice coming from an unknown direction.

"Still... my blade couldn't cut through his bone, what a sturdy physique he has.", Silas muttered to himself.

"Nagas, return!", Angel shouts.

The spectral serpents were pulled back inside Angel's body, regaining his lost power.

"As if that would change anything.", Silas says as he readies to strike Angel again.

"Huh?", Silas freezes in place.

Angel shouted and activated the skill War Cry that caught Silas off guard while he revealed himself, inflicting him with stun and causing himself to be vulnerable infront Angel.

"Give up?.", Angel scoffed.

Angel powered his fist and launched it towards Silas, causing him to be pushed back, his hands shaking from the damage felt from blocking Angel's attack.

"I'll deal with the others first.", Angel stated, drawing his weapon.

Angel unsheathed his crimson blade from his subspace pouch and took his stance.

"Imperial Sun Sword Style: Solar Ray.", Angel's eyes filled with determination.

A swift, focused thrust pierced through the bandit's hearts one by one with blinding speed, like a concentrated beam of light. As Silas peers at the deaths of his comrades, he overcomes the stun's effect and broke free.

"Hm?", Angel turns his head around.

In a split second, the surrounding area became quiet along with the atmosphere filled anxiety as Silas disappeared from his position. The situation lasted for a few minutes before sound returned to his ears and Silas never reappeared again or executed an counter-attack.

"He left...", Angel said as he looked from afar.

"I can't even sense him even with my energy encompassing the meadow.", Angel stated.

Angel walked back to his camp fire and sat down in a lotus position as he focused on his recovery while maintaning his awareness of his surroundings.

As dawn came, Angel stood up and stretched his body, he grabbed Jean's skull and continued his walk. The journey took a total of four hours as he reached a road leading to Bryndar, one of the three main cities of the Kredan kingdom.

The city is built upon a series of small, rolling hills, providing a natural vantage point over the surrounding grasslands. It is surrounded by network of well-maintained hedges, flower-lined canals, and strategically placed watchtowers.

"Bryndar huh..., let's go.", Angel declares, as he enters through the gate entrance.
